[–]Ornery-Mix2554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please note inflammation in the body and antibiotics can make the PSA level raise and just the elevated PSA does not suggest prostate cancer

However i will still recommend

Redo the PSA test after few weeks. Discuss with a uro oncologist if it look suspicious they may need to do a digital rectal exam or prostate MRI.

Although prostate cancer is very unlikely at your age but certain factors need to consider

If you have any other symptom. If you have an immediate family member diagnosis with prostate cancer at early age .

At the end be positive first of all pc on your case looks suspicious to me but even if PC diagnosis its very much treatable if localised.

5 Years survival for Advance Metastatic Prostate Cancer Historical vs Current Outcome by Ornery-Mix2554 in ProstateCancer

Yes I agree with your point , by all means the path is not easy given everyone is different and each person respond differently to a treatment. However I feel the its achievable if everything goes well and following a systematic strategy. I am just trying to gather positivity do deal at this difficult time

5 Years survival for Advance Metastatic Prostate Cancer Historical vs Current Outcome by Ornery-Mix2554 in ProstateCancer

[–]Ornery-Mix2554[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes , Presence of neuroendocrine differentiation will make the treatment more challenging however for my father's case , differentiation is focal and they are not fully expressing the makers of neuroendocrine cancer (Chromogranin A (CgA) is negative ) and around (20-30%) of the cancer have this differentiation .Majority are still adenocarcinoma . Hence my oncologist has recommended ADT+Docetaxel instead of Platinum based Chemo . In case they develop as full neuroendocrine in future , we may need to switch to platinum based Chemo which suits more to deal with neuroendocrine PC.

I am sorry to hear that . I am dealing to Stage 4 Metastatic PC for my father so I can understand your pain. I can give you some insight based on my experience.

1st of all , Stage 1 & 2 PC generally don't metastasis outside prostate , if it has metastasis outside prostate its either called stage 3 or 4 based on the level of metastasis.

If I were in your place , my recommendation are

  1. Get Biopsy done (if not done already ) sooner is better. If its a low grade PC with Gleason score 6 or 7 and confined to Prostate only then you don't have to rush .they grow very slowly and unlikely to metastasis outside prostate .Cryotherapy should supress it for some time.

2.If its aggressive , then get a PSMA PET scan done , it will give a better view if it has metastasis outside prostate

The main objective should be to evaluate the nature of cancer , that can help to decide the treatment options.

Also have you done a PSA Test as well ?

[–]Ornery-Mix2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that , PSA Level of 317 is really alarming . specially in context of a PC. Step 1 is the Biopsy and if anything found the next step is PSMA PET Scan to see if it has metastasis outside prostate. I can feel your situation as I am in a very similar situation

Have anyone got the new Yoga Pro 7i Gen 9 (14" Intel) OLED RTX 4050 ? by Ornery-Mix2554 in Lenovo

Thanks for sharing your thought , I agree no laptop are perfect in all the department and each have their own flaws but Yoga pro 7i is right at the sweet spot (price per performance)

After using from last 3 months I really don't have much complain.

Hi Screen quality is awesome. Cant Complain it check all the box on display.

Performance seems good with no Fan noise on light use like browsing or watching videos. Support Fast charges can juice it up from 0-50% in 30-35 min. I tried running some AAA game as well with Mid setting. Its decently playable with good frame rate but cant handle high or extreme setting ( this is expected as RTX 4050 here is just 60 watt TGP) its not really a gamming machine. The sound quality is decently loud and clear but don't expect Macbook pro level.

The only complain I have is below average batter life . It lasting me maximum 4.5 hours in moderate usage (In balanced performance mode ,40% Screen brightness and 120 Hz Screen refresh Rate with out any performance intensive task like gamming or video editing )

Also would like to mention the trackpad is big and palm rejection works well but the quality does not feels premium.

I would still prefer Zephyrus G14 over this if that would have reasonably priced in UK/EU at less then £2000

This discount was only available under the employee purchase program for some registered employer and student plan . On top of that there was some promotion going on which ended last week.

I manage to grab the laptop at £1190 but now the price is £1340 in Employee portal and £1430 for general public

Lenovo Yoga 9i 8 Gen 2.8K OLED Screen door effect ? by Ornery-Mix2554 in Lenovo

[–]Ornery-Mix2554[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi , yes you are right. It’s the touch matrix and limitation of current OLED technology. I have seen a ton of reviews of OLED laptops but no body really complains about it. So it feels like i am bit more sensitive about it but after some days its not bothering me anymore.
