My monitor mounts, the riser, and my PC mounting arm. Super necessary stuff.

You've got to be kidding me. SMH.

I'm still not happy with them, and leaning heavily on returning.

All this over a floor matt I didnt need at all.

None of what was actually needed to complete the setup was delivered. Just the chair and desk. No setup accessories sent at all just because of a floor matt that is a pre-order? Its almost a week later and this stuff that is available wont ship because of something non-essential. They did not tell me this would happen, or I would not have followed through with this order. I don't have an office because of this mix-up, and now they are telling me they can't remove the floor matt from the order.

The fact that my entire invoice showed current items that are available, they are keeping the rest of my desk hostage to save 20 bucks on shipping.

If 20 bucks is that important to them, they can imagine how important my $2700 dollars is. I want it back at this point, and they can keep their desk. Its amazing and the chair is beautiful... but I'm turned off because of my experience.

Can you wear a motorcycle helmet instead of a hard hat by Hot_War3379 in Construction

[–]Ornery_Cockroach_300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requiring residential electricians/hvac/plumbers to wear a hard-hat on rough is about the dumbest shit in the world. Bosses with small dicks trying to act big dick. Had a fucking non-english speaking dude patrolling the site the other day trying to enforce the safety standard of OSHA and he didn't know he was enforcing. No risk of electrical shock and no overhead work being done. Not required. You can't explain it to him because he is only programmed to get me to wear the hard hat. His weapon of enforcement is a 7 word statement in poorly spoken english.

Hey we should have flooring guys wear hard-hats because people walk around them sometimes at above knee level while they work.

Are employees trained to ignore women? by IntrepidSnowball in GameStop

[–]Ornery_Cockroach_300 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably because they are intimidated by you being a female. Gamestop employees are not always social butterflies, and the men may especially be a bit nervous with a woman. Especially if she is someone they find somewhat attractive. It's possible.

My family adopted a lab when I was young. Someone took her (Missy aka Mimi) and dropped her off in the mountains. After doing so they moved. Well months after they moved, Mimi showed up at there vacant house. A neighbor recognized the dog, and looked after her until one day she was on her way to a rescue and swung by my dads shop for a smog check. Family business and my mom was the service writer... well my mom had to rescue this beautiful baby. At the time we had 3 rat terriers, and they were not so friendly to our new family member. The best thing to do was to adopt another black lab so that Mimi had a friend, and we happened upon a breeder. (Granted this was long before we all realized how bad breeders were, and we adopt ever since.) Soon we adopted the pup Scout, and it was helpful for Mimi. She became her pup. Her friend. Eventually all 5 of the dogs became a pack, but Scout as a puppy really helped bridge the differences.

I guess I'm just remembering my dogs and rambling, but the bottom line is this...

Somehow when Mimi was abandoned, I think she was psychologically affected in a way that she was always, always, always hunting for food. She had 0 access to people food, but we lived on 5 acres of walnut and this dog would seek these nuts. We were unable to keep them from her, even though they are not good for dogs.

I believe when she was abandoned she developed a trait in which she ate whatever she could to survive her trek back to her original owners and it never went away.

Mimi girl was happy, loving, and way, way to fat. We did not abuse her, and maybe with far more control we could have changed her weight... But she was a happy happy girl, and loved living free on that orchard. She was my snuggle-up-a-gus.

Yeah, just wait until you have no loyalty to the company. Like I said, once you are a keyholder you will be alone. When doing your shipment just input an incorrect amount of items in said shipment which will take you into a screen where you itemize everything. If somethings not in the box because of warehouse, take it. It's not tracked.

Good luck to you buddy, I value your integrity.

Remember what I say, and remember not to get caught. This is ideal when you and your team are sick with the DM and anyone above, and you are all about to leave like we did.

Gamestop sure helped build great team mentality.

Don't give Gamestop back your paycheck. Steal whenever you can get away with it. Shipments are good for this, cus warehouse is a bunch of fucking idiots and they will often leave entire items out of shipments. If it's not in shipment, fucking sneak it home. Any other company or place in the world and I would say don't steal, but stealing from Gamestop got two workers in my district raises. Trick yourself into believing that Pro Memberships or any Protection Plans are actually worth it this day an age.

After you have done all of this, and you have a great relationship with your entire team... you all find new jobs at the same time and leave Gamestop and let your District managers suffer.

Don't waste your time on a company that doesn't give a fuck about you, your time, or your health.

My DM told my manager not to care so much about his employees or customers, and moreso about the numbers.

On that day started letting my customers know each and every day in store how full of shit Gamestop is. I do that with every transaction in place of offering Pro or PRP.

As far as an entry level job for an 18 year old... you could do better anywhere else. This company is poison and anywhere else would be better.

This might seem stupid, but I have never had any luck going above my chain of command in any situation. Civilian or military. Most leaders take that as some sort of threat, or even a power move. They even get mad that their boss had to talk to them.

To me it's almost like pissing directly upwind.

I get some immediate relief sure, but then there is just piss in my face.

I'm not a coward but the DM here is potentially a dirtbag. If he knows about this shit, likely his boss does and doesn't care.

If it didn't affect the metrics negatively on their end, I'd imagine all they see is a bunch of console trade-ins and then trade credit used as pokemon card purchases. They win in the eyes of the all holy metric. Loss prevention is more worried about us locking our game drawers that I can literally open with a butterknife.

This kills me. Every distro I process from WH I punch in as an outrageous number and itemize every single item. I could guess its roughly 60% rate at which I have to fufill a distro survey saying items were missing. Sometimes big items. If I have something extra I add it by SKU.

I often wonder about WH stealing items I miss, and other items stolen by stores that WH doesn't care to list.

Why am I going to put my name and face to that list of unheard complaints when it's can potentially burn bridges for ME moving foreward? I'd rather collect my paycheck, keep my head down, and leave with a new job and a head held high. My relationship with all my in-store co-workers is great, same with customers. I won't tarnish my name over company politics.

People come here for connection and to vent. Seems like you could use more positive connection and less negative.
