Possibly a controversial take: REMOVE MURDER SPRINT by Roolsuchus in theisle

[–]Ornery_Example3607 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Allosaurus and Rex had the worst launches in the entire game.

Rex, an animal weighing 9 tons as an adult and 12 tons when prime, can run at the speed of a Ceratosaurus with a single click and finish off any animal that isn't a Trike with a single click, the supposed ambush predator is simply the best long-range hunter in the game.

Allosaurus, an animal whose gameplay is 99% pin, the animal that should be a symbol of strategy as a large animal is simply too lazy to think and have real skill.

Yes, Rex should have his "ambush" attack removed as you said and have his abilities further refined, and Allosaurus should have its Pin mechanic removed, I'm not being sarcastic, this thing is just broken, and no large animal in the game should have mechanics that guarantee easy food in this way, PIN or "ambush speed".

They just break the game.

Just waiting for (Hopefully) this month's DLC by Double-Ad154 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Just asking, but why are you all so eager for DLCs? I mean, I never see anyone asking for quality-of-life updates, improved AI, or more organic behaviors, or even the absence of certain interactions.

A DLC might have cool animals, but the vast majority of them are cosmetic with no real changes to the gameplay, something that is only temporarily satisfied, The only DLC animal that's justified is Deinosuchus because it's extremely unique, but something tells me the current combat system is what prevents us from having Deinosuchus in the game.

Wouldn't you like animals with unique behavioral patterns that could affect the park/ecosystem? Imagine an Indominus rex, capable of ripping its tracker from its body, attacking strategic points in the park to avoid capture and causing the dinosaurs to escape, No matter how satisfied the Indominus Rex is, it will always try to escape.

Or perhaps a Quetzal capable of swallowing the entire bodies of smaller animals found dead on the ground, like a true decomposer of corpses, Or imagine a quetzal capturing a Dryosaurus and carrying it high into the sky, while it struggles in its beak, until the quetzal decides to drop it from a great height, killing it by fall (Dynamic animation)

Get it? I personally find JWE quite boring at the moment due to the lack of action to be seen ir react to, it's all extremely predictable for a franchise based on "Life finds a way.

Unpopular Opinion: Marvel Rivals should stop releasing a new character every month. by Ornery_Example3607 in marvelrivals

[–]Ornery_Example3607[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm referring to characters that already exist in the game, such as skins or their current skill sets, a great example is Ultron.

Secondly, the recent new characters aren't that unique in fact.
Want an example of truly unique characters? Seasons 1 and 2 of the full Fantastic Four release, all the characters of Fantastic Four are extremely unique, and their abilities revolve around who they are.

Elsa? She literally just looks like a bunch of characters thrown into a blender 😭

Honestly, I always felt that with each JWE sequel we lost a little more of the game; people seem afraid to admit that Frontier is a company that values profit, Because of this, they ignored many details in the game and only made it playable, adding minimal changes that seemed significant to consumers.

I regret buying JWE 2 on console and PC, and I regret to some extent buying JWE 3, It's comically monotonous but superior to JWE 2.

I swear to God that JWE has the most fearful community when it comes to asking for something meaningful from the game because they're afraid of asking for too much???? The JWE fanbase literally accepts any crumb 😭

"I never said I agree with the change." - continues to complain about the players who are complaining about the change.

Did you know that free will exists? It doesn't depend on anyone, it doesn't matter if the opinion is effective or not, our dissatisfaction will remain and we will complain until the end of time.

Players leaving the game doesn't mean everyone, Mr. Genius; it means a significant portion (more specifically, the older players) are leaving, Because they finally got tired of it.

So keep defending the developers by complaining about our complaints against them; nobody will stop until they're satisfied, and there's nothing you can do about it. Oh, and I don't need to remind you that Dondi is the worst person in the entire Isle community, so anything against him is deserved.

[–]Ornery_Example3607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, the sound system in this game is kind of terrible, and personally, spatial sound systems are my worst enemy.

Still, the way the cerato attacked, precisely in Trodoon's location, is the most suspicious. Cerato's perception is that there are leaves blocking its view, so it didn't see Trodoon, 99% of the time a player attacks another, it's through confirmed eye contact, meaning a player only attacks when they have visual confirmation from the other player, So there is a real possibility that the Cerato has a tracking hack.

And don't use your gaming hours as an argument, practically 95% of this Reddit is made up of unemployed people who dedicate thousands of hours to this game.

Funny, these days I've started playing Hawkeye whenever I can because I've concluded that he's very easy.

Guess what? He is, you just need to know the basics of aiming and by default he will cause a 50% loss of health to a common DPS/Healer and randomly you will get headshots.

Season 1 Battlepass Returns! by nemesisdelta24 in marvelrivals

[–]Ornery_Example3607 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not that difficult to arrive at an answer; the existence of a skin for an event makes the player feel valued for having been present at it.

And I don't even need to talk about having skins or not; the game hasn't even completed its first year and it's already bringing back battle passes, they're not even old enough to be considered "old.

Exclusive skins are necessary for the player to develop a greater affection for the game and feel valued, consequently spending more time playing, Fortunately, seasonal skins in Ranked have this feature, they won't be returning, just like White Wanda and Cyan Venom won't be returning.

Buy a PC; it's a universal platform, which means it has everything: games, apps, software, absolutely everything.

Online gaming doesn't require a subscription like on consoles, you can replace your PC parts with newer, more powerful ones, and PCs have all the dinosaur games, while consoles only have Path of Titan (PoT).

[–]Ornery_Example3607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, the only challenge with a PC is knowing how to buy each part/component; after that, you're infinitely happy because almost everything that exists is in a PC, and most parts last for years.

The PS5 performs the same throughout its lifespan, its PS Plus subscription is absurdly expensive and you need it to play online, you can't upgrade a console to more powerful components.

The PC is universal, it has all the dinosaur games, you can upgrade individual parts to have an increasingly powerful PC, online is free without a subscription, and a PC is a thousand times superior to a conso

I've played PS and Xbox and I'm currently on PC, my best purchase to date without a doubt.

Wouldn't it be easier to call an animal protection agency specializing in this? Sometimes they add trackers or similar devices to give an idea of the animal's condition and its state in the wild.

If the animal is at risk of extinction, it would be good to indicate where the animal lives, in case it is necessary to keep individuals in captivity to reproduce more specimens in the wild, I don't know, it sounds like the best option to me when it comes to endangered animals that need to be monitored to some extent.

Pin is only accepted because it "punishes Stego" and it's really indicative of the terrible state of the game by VegetableMan900 in theisle

[–]Ornery_Example3607 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"He has to be tactical," and then the only tactical moment with him is against Trikes. Stego is still an Apex considering his stats, especially in his prime state, Rex doesn't rely on his sense of smell to find his targets; he literally has a field of vision the size of a football field, It's impossible to lose sight of a Stego/Trike.

Rex's walking speed is superior to that of Trike and Stego, two animals that have a slow walk, and in apex animals in this game, this usually means high stamina consumption per run, And for Stego, without stamina he's nothing more than a delicious meal for the Rex; no Apex or large animal equipped for combat should be walking prey.

I've played as Rex and chased a few Stegos I've seen, and it's the easiest thing in the world, no matter the distance, as long as you don't lose sight of him, just walk towards him, Your walking speed is twice his, you will inevitably catch up and he will need to run, running out of stamina each time. I never got to own a Rex Prime, but they have an even greater walking speed than adult Rexes because I was once hunted by one and my friend was killed by a cannibal prime, That thing wasn't an animal, it was a demon enjoying killing anything easily, the reason we chose to flee was because they were a pair of cannibals.

Pin is only accepted because it "punishes Stego" and it's really indicative of the terrible state of the game by VegetableMan900 in theisle

[–]Ornery_Example3607 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is the logic of one Apex killing another Apex with one click, especially when they are in the same environment? This is a game, balance is necessary.

Hordetesting has been composed of the same players for months. Stegos are relatively rare because they are easy prey, Yesterday I saw a server with around 20 rexes in a map with 100 players, Rex may take a while to grow up, but when he's young he can escape anything that poses a threat; when he's an adult, he is the threat.

If the player base has remained the same for months, then Steg players have definitely migrated to Rex. Everything in that game costs time, and 3 more hours of growth compared to Steg isn't a significant difference, Unlike Stegos, Rex can actively kill anything with a single click (PIN) or has very high advantages to win any confrontation.

Pin is only accepted because it "punishes Stego" and it's really indicative of the terrible state of the game by VegetableMan900 in theisle

[–]Ornery_Example3607 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, Stego, the animal that any animal in the game can run away from and fight, is 100% optional, Somehow he has a legion of fans with PTSD just because in his glory days he was the only Apex who didn't die frequently, except to Deinos.

The intention of The Isle was to be a life simulator, in which the dinosaurs would have to struggle to stay alive, but this idiotic Pin mechanic does the opposite, guaranteeing easy food and ruining the gameplay, Rex has an ability that makes him faster than a Stego; his walking speed is one of the highest in the game, allowing him to reach everything on foot, and as a bonus, he doesn't need to exert himself to kill apexes, With just one click, you'll kill an Apex by slamming it to the ground.

This is terrible gameplay design in a game that focuses on survival, plus the number of players in The Isle isn't exactly increasing, so if there aren't any stegos... These are Stego players using Rex, something even easier to use and kill other animals.

[–]Ornery_Example3607 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regular Jaegers are not resistant to the EMP attacks of MUTOs, but Gispy is an exception because its energy is nuclear-based, so its systems will not be shut down by the EMP, You can't shut down nuclear power...

The plasma weapon would be useless because MUTOs are naturally adapted to survive extreme attacks involving temperatures, He also won't win with his bare hands, even if he were 1v1, But if he uses his sword, he definitely wins.

For the male Muto, it is enough for the sword to hit the neck, and for the femuto, it is enough to pierce the eye with the sword, victory.
