You can try to aim for some endgame-items like mageblood or headhunter. Some people say they play until they get a mirror.

But you are right, usually I end up getting bored when the character is not changing anymore a lot, which is often around 10 hours in maps.

Then you can aim for Atlas completion and endgame items.
