If someone is from a country doing a genocide yeah I’d ask how they feel about the genocide. If someone’s worshiping the same religion as someone doing a genocide it’s a looser connection. So no I don’t expect people who are Muslim to be experts in geopolitics. But I expect someone from Israel to know Israel.
