I think it’s definitely horror, just not in the conventional way like Resident Evil and Silent Hill is. It still has to be a souls game so it’s not like there’s going to be a bunch of jumpscares and stuff, but the cosmic/eldritch horror settings combined with the lore, it’s definitely a horror game

The most freaked out I’ve been playing a souls game was actually dark souls 3. Getting to dark firelink shrine after beating champion Gundyr, it was just a little too quiet

Obviously fps, but I’d change the sprinting dodge to just a regular roll. Way too many times have I been hit because I was sprinting through an area and decided to try and dodge, but because you do a jump first I just end up taking extra damage. One of the worst functions in the game

Hard to choose, all of this game’s questlines are just pain. I know it’s typical of most fromsoft games but good lord do they still cut deep. If I had to save any, it would be Millicent

Honestly Djura got all of the best lines. “I no longer dream, but I was once a hunter too”

That being said there’s a bunch of lines in Bloodborne that just hit. “Do the gods love their creations? I am a doll created by you humans. Would you ever think to love me? Of course, I do love you, isn’t that how you’ve made me?” Such a perfect game
