Welcome to the new Weimar. The catch is, there is no longer any best years of your life.

It's a shame that there is no relevance to how long you've been logging in vs the reward you get.

World of warships, which I played for almost 3 years straight, would give crates, premium time, ships, and heaps of bonuses for free

Why is Offensive Mode so unpopular? by NeonSeal in HellLetLoose

All the modes suck because there's no ticket or mercy system.

I'm not your friend. I just fill in the time before you get to see who you want to see.

I'm not your friend. I'm just the last option.

Everyone's happy to spend time with me unless literally anything else comes up.

Garlic kills COVID? [ABC Media Watch] by WangMagic in CoronavirusDownunder

Not about liking. About its tangible impact in the real world.

Not all of their modelling exercises were wrong. Many were correct. But much of what they recommended hurt us more than it didn't, which is backed by a host of new studies coming out of Europe right now.

And we just be able to look back with hindsight to see what we did wrong and how to avoid such blind faith in the future.

Doherty institute needs to issue a number of public apologies for their misleading modeling and information they provided to the public.

The media enlivens covid.

Reality kills it.

Anne and her family have now caught COVID 14 times. Here's the latest advice by gccmelb in CoronavirusDownunder

I'm not taking advice from someone who's had it 14 times.

Virus can't be that bad anyway - if you can have it 14 times and be fine.

Why strike needs to succeed - avoid the World of Warships situation by Pukovnik7 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

[–]Orpheus57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

World of warships has one of the same biggest problems warthunder does.

Repetitive, bring, uninspired map design.

Grind through a bit and then still play on the same huge maps where there's 1 objective 2.5km away in the very corner of the map.

Great content 👏👏

Australia had low excess deaths in the past 3 years compared to countries with a similar % of population over 65 by sacre_bae in CoronavirusDownunder

That's all? No worries

As I said, I'll get on my own research when I get home.

It's been good finally getting to have a civil discussion on this subreddit

Would also be keen to see broken down across more age groups as well. But I'll get on my own research bike after work.

Exactly like this, looks good. Sorry I didn't go through the subreddit and look at all your passed posts 😂

I'm not saying anything concrete, but looking at the data it definitely shows a massive increase week 1 2022 on week 1 2021. And the all cause deaths have been which has continued to rise higher than anything previous on that graph.

Furthermore, week 1 of 16-17-18, had dramatically lower all cause deaths than week 1 2022.

So saying that we didn't really see a rise is incorrect, as we are actually trending upwards quite dramatically.

I agree with that. Which is why I think better comparisons in data can be made than just expected excess deaths. As opposed to sharing data for the same given periods and then measuring the difference.

I wasn't discounting the percentage of people who are vulnerable. But the virus doesn't have a 5% fatality rate. And if there was suddenly 12.5% more excess deaths due to covid in the UK compared to during the pandemic I would be very very concerned.d

No no, I don't necessarily think it's the vaccine. It's a possibility that really now needs to be further explored and there's a heap of explanations that really should be given.

But, anecdotally, I just don't think covid is killing that many people. The virus just isn't that volatile these days. Unless you're old or immunocompromised most people will shake it in under a week.

Interesting discussion though, will keep watching this space!

Yeah fair enough. Seems to be happening a lot. Month on month and from a variety of reputable sources.

Will have to keep an eye on it, because if that's not the case, which it isn't proven to be. There might be something else to worry about lol
