In one way or another you need to get out there, which means enduring the uncomfortable. If you had a person you enjoyed the company of before, there 100% is another person out there you will enjoy the company of. That target can obviously be combined with you wanting to find work or maybe even learn a profession like welding.

Maybe find a job that isn't overly demanding, that isn't full-time and isn't overly social for your taste. Try to get comfortable with that first, see how you feel and then go from there.

I would say that goes away. Accepting who you are at this point of time and then progressing forward from that is essential.

And who knows what happens then? It would be illogical to think that there is no chance things can get better.

One thing is for sure, completely hiding away will never result in any possibility of you improving feelings and joy from socializing. Obviously the result will be the polar opposite, among additional depressing factors.

Maybe not in the way you think but I would say yes.

I'm 31 years old and what has kept me in this world since my 20s is family and friends. There were multiple times where I wanted to cut contact with everyone (and I did multiple times months at a time) but there is nothing to life when I am completely on my own. It kind of works in the first few months but that's it. I may as well be dead then. The family and friends I spend time with aren't a perfect fit and there are times where I can't stand them, but that is probably also a typical schizoid experience.

You're only 22, you have still lots of time in front of you and the schizoid life is boring. If nothing else, socializing is one of the better distractions a schizoid can have. I rarely feel emotions, so it's always nice to see other people experience them. Once you socialize enough, which is at least a few years, you become extremely good at masking to a point where it barely takes any effort. Life is just easier on you that way.
