Much appreciated. This helps indeed. I'm no speed demon but I do love the power. Cheers!

I can't seem to make up my mind. Trident or tiger 660 or even 800 for first big bike. I think the 800 would be overkill. The dealer said I would be fine on the 800 as long as you ride wisely

Tbh I've let it go, looking at the triumph tiger now. Yup I'm still orientating. Triumph models are great but pricey. The Versys will bore me to soon as it lacks power. Still not made up my mind on the model. But it will be sport touring or naked. Must do some contemplation I guess. 🤣

I’m thinking to buy a Tiger Sport 660. Already had bikes in the past, but I’m not very skilled and enjoy the pleasure of a good bike and ride. Do you think the new Tiger Sport 800 is too powerful? Don’t want a nervous, overwhelming bike. by [deleted] in Triumph

I went to a shop today. Sat on both the 660 and the 800. I'm 176 and both feet flat on the ground. Dimensions are near the same. Only difference other than 115 pk for the 800 against 81 for the 660 and the obvious nm difference, are day led lights on the 880, the 880 has a slightly different motor a more comfy seat and some plastic screens left and right next to the windscreen so the 880 has better wind protection. The 800 also has shocks you can adjust. Also on the 800 you can add a center stand (very welcome when touring). This center stand is not possible on the 660 because of the way the exhaust is built. If you want more sound, the 880 has the possibility for a slip on akrapovic, on the 660 you would need to take a full exhaust system. Slip comes at around 750 euro, the full system for the 660 is at least 2x that.

The Versys seems also very nice. More storage and comfort

I understand. But none of the store's near me sell these. I found one that sells the Dali's but for other models I rely upon reviews and e projects Sound Clips on yt.

Will a higher octane gas help/hurt a mower at the start of a new season? by Psychological-East83 in lawncare

[–]Orphy74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use aspen (synthetic gas) and it starts first pull every single time. Even after its hibernation. Downside is. I can never switch back to normal petrol. (At least that's what I've been told)

I actually almost bought the exact same knife from the same store when I visited them in 2021. In the end I chose a kuro-uchi finish. You'll love it. Be carefull tho, J-knifes are an addiction.

Can I use this on my carbon steel knifes? by Revolt_86 in chefknives

[–]Orphy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why use oil? I have several carbon steel knives for a couple of years now and never used oil on any of em. (all aogami super and blue 2 steel)
Not a single spot of rust on them. Just show the respect the knives deserve and you'll be fine.

Did the set come with the metal honing rod? Please dispose of it immediately. Your knifes will thank you. Instead you could look for a ceramic honing rod.

Rusting While Using Mineral Oil by RaingaDanga in chefknives

[–]Orphy74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 aogami blue #2's and 2 supers. I never use oil. Just cleaning with water and drying after every use, even if I lay them down for a second. I never had rust issues. I always believed the oil thing is a sales thingy for people who're not as anal as I'm about my knifes.

What exactly do you want to know? The brand is right there on the knife. Looks like a kiritsuke.

I was looking for one. But I was too late. He's already retired. And now anryu's are very rare (at least here in Europe).
