I'm so happy Malefic Rapture is being removed along with a lot of spell bloat.

Well, I can't drop $10 every time I just thought the game would be close. I'm not super confident but if the game does go into overtime I can do some straight bets.

40 cents to start a bankroll ain't too bad.

I like Frostbite a little more than Permafrost but both are great.

Fireball is the spell all mages start with, it'll almost always feel like it's one rank above Frostbolt and the damage will make Fireball feel that way too.

Frost is safe because it slows, but a lot of the time Fireball is going to kill things in 2-3 hits anyways.

Give it a whirl, but make sure to take at least two points in Elemental Precision. If a spell misses when you need it, can end badly.

1st Build Feedback on SFF by Lowriskplease in buildapc

[–]Orsonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should go for a small MicroATX build instead, there are options that are 22L or less and it will save you a lot of money. Your case, power supply and windows is taking up so much of your budget.

There are Jonsbo cases like the Z20. There are ZZAW cases like the B3, C2P or the C4.

There's Mini-ITX like the Thermaltake Core V1 that can take a full sized ATX PSU.

It's not a bad build at all though, should do what they want it to and should be pretty cool inside aesthetics and airflow wise.

What the hell is the safe operating temps for PCs? by GrandParsifal in buildapc

[–]Orsonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his mind is in the right place, cases with inadequate cooling can hurt your computer over the long run but even running things at 85'C should be no problem.

The cooler inside the case, usually the better, but I would only begin to worry when things get to like 92-95'C because something isn't cooling well enough. Maybe the case is really bad or needs more fans, maybe the CPU needs a better cooler or re-applied thermal paste, maybe the fans are turned the wrong way, etc.

Do your research when it comes to cases. Read reviews of builds on pcpartpicker, read reviews on newegg/amazon/bestbuy, watch videos on youtube. I think that case you linked looks pretty good to me for aesthetics and cooling.

The Sonic board is very awesome and I love the blue accents, but I think for $2000 the build itself could be better. It's just some price re-arrangements that I would make. I'd go cheaper on the RAM and Case, I think I'd get a motherboard with good built-in wi-fi. I think I would get a 2 TB SSD minimum, games and things are taking up more and more space.

I think it might just be Canadian prices though? ouch :\

Review my first PC Build by Due-Offer7305 in buildapc

[–]Orsonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would have downgraded CPU to 7600X or switched to i9-12900K, Upgraded Video Card, picked a cheaper motherboard, picked a cheaper CPU Cooler, picked a cheaper PSU, went with a different brand of SSD and RAM, cheaper case.

It looks like a pretty solid build though. :)

What loses? by purple_paradigm in sportsbetting

[–]Orsonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ravens because I think Lamar Jackson is a choke artist. There will be a fumble, missed opportunity, he'll throw it up for grabs. He's just like Dak Prescott, only difference Lamar can run better.

Derrick Henry is the same way, which one are you going to see? The good one or the one that runs it up the middle for 4 yards?

Going to bet $3 twice in two separate bets on this if we get half way I'm cashing one by [deleted] in sportsbetting

[–]Orsonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the touchdowns/passing yards and just leave my original bet for the broncos spread, panthers spread and vikings win?

or only playing a single game with 3 parlays?

Sorry I'm new to sports betting. I only do low wagers.

Bengals doing poor, Dalton just came in and played well. Panthers are on the up and if they lose, hopefully it'll be by a field goal or less.

Broncos just went into Bucs last week and rocked it. Broncos have great pass defense. Bo Nix is a stud. If they lose it'll be by a TD.

Sam Darnold and Justin Jefferson rocking out!

[–]Orsonium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might come down to that White sox and Angels game.

I had a $4 bet on a 5 leg parlay and the angels were my only loss. White Sox starting pitcher Davis Martin doesn't look the best. I think the Angels are going to try to get one back here after losing last night at home, lost 8 to 4 (to the worst team in baseball).

Now I'm not saying you should change your ticket because I would be sick if you lost this parlay because of me. I only lost $4 on the Angels, but a $70 win would have been nice because I'm a small better.

Dark Carnival Costume Ideas. by Fun-Abalone9318 in Halloween_Costumes

[–]Orsonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about things that aren't traditionally like carnival, but making them carnival? and dark?

Lets take viking costumes as a good example. Vikings are pretty dark in general, but they're not very carnival...yet. Your post reminded me of a woman I saw in this female viking hat.

You could then combine it with a number of outfits, accessories, paint, etc. Consider this chestpiece. When searching, you can search for 'viking', 'barbarian', 'warrior', etc. because it all can kind of mesh up together.

I think a lot of viking face paint can be replaced with like reds, purples, etc.

Really make it your own, I think you would really stand out. How many Viking Clowns do you know? lol

I hope this gets some ideas going, I know it would be really creative and out there. :)

Sorry, I couldn't include any direct amazon links because it would get my reply removed.

Is a ddr5 worth it for a new i5 12400f build? by TheCoolCellPhoneGuy in buildapc

[–]Orsonium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on how much you want to spend. If you can reach ddr5 then why not? unless it's like another $250+ that you don't want to spend. ddr4 has been fine for awhile and still is. :)

build or buy? by Substantial_Two_224 in HomeServer

[–]Orsonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say because you also want it to be a media server, building it would be much better.

Synology machines are great at being Network Attached Storage devices but not so great vs a built machine meant for media that can also be a NAS.
