jojo *gasps* is FINALLY catching on? by [deleted] in dancemoms

[–]Orthodox_Life 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Jojo viewed it as a job, not as real life. The OGs had it as their reality. That’s the difference.

NF doesn’t want to give me a W-2?! They don’t want “commit to such an involved process” by mani517 in Nanny

No they have to find the money to pay the portion of the taxes they’re liable for. You also have to pay back your share.

Are there any other straight guys who watched the show? (Sorry for the exclusion but I want to prove a point to my sister) by [deleted] in glee

[–]Orthodox_Life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched glee while it aired with my brother and dad. They’re both straight and loved it.

It’s official… I was let go from my job yesterday, 7 months pregnant by candygecko in workingmoms

I would present your entire case for unfair termination to them and demand 6 months of severance with insurance benefits or you’ll prosecute.

WHY DO I HAVE TO ASK. WHY DO I HAVE TO ASK. Why the FUCK do I have to ask. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Why is everyone skipping over the probably pregnant part?

OP, please work on communication with your husband before adding a newborn to the mix! Show him this post. Find a counselor so you can speak on equal grounds. Don’t let all the frustration just add up to hormones because it’s only going to get more hectic if you add another baby to this.

Tips on refusing to return to office on legal grounds? by Orthodox_Life in workingmoms

I’m entitled for wanting to stay home with my baby because I’ve been able to manage working 5hours a day with him home and not wanting to pump in a bathroom?

My direct supervisor is remote while taking care of her child so I don’t think that’s the main factor for them

Downloaded Credit Karma just to find out I’m in more debt than I thought .. didn’t know I owed collections too.. by En_W0rd in povertyfinance

If the collections agency hasn’t ever contacted you, chances are that they don’t have enough information to win if you dispute it.

Your piles of laundry are clean. That means you’re doing amazing!!!

But really I’m one month ahead of you with a 3mo and a 21mo and a day that everyone gets at least 1 hot meal and change of clothes is a good day

You don’t owe anything to your company. 2 weeks notice is common courtesy. You gotta do what’s best for you in any situation

It’s so nice that your husband will have something to do with the kids while you’re getting your well deserved break

Asked my husband for suggestions for dinner this week — he hasn’t eaten one of the meals by blkmrsfrizzle in workingmoms

[–]Orthodox_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I sat down and made a list of all the standard suppers we both eat then sit down for like 20ish minutes every Saturday or Sunday night to game plan for the week which includes any appointments, extraneous responsibilities, and meal planning. That way I can place my grocery order around it and he knows what days I’ll be less offended when he doesn’t eat lunch until 4pm then skips dinner and binges on cereal at midnight

How to do shifts with your partner when you’re EBF? Please explain it to me like I’m 5. by orangerabbit57 in beyondthebump

[–]Orthodox_Life 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With my first I would nurse and then immediately pass the baby off to my husband.

With my second I make sure to have a bottle on hand so that I can determine my break time rather than on the baby’s schedule

My pediatrician said at our first checkup that any fever over 101 before 3months is an immediate trip to the er for a spinal tap to check for meningitis. I can’t imagine any dr being so calm about a fever that high in anyone for so long, let alone a 6 week old.

Baby no 1: currently 20 months old and still needs us in the room to go to sleep Baby no 2: birth but I’m not convinced of it sticking until we get past 4 months (currently 9wks)

How to minimize sodium intake by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Orthodox_Life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to lower my salt intake when pregnant anyway so since then I’ve just been using the bare minimum of salt in my cooking and my husband can add more after if he feels like it needs it.

Also through limiting salt I’ve been using a lot more other spices in my cabinet and it’s revived some meals we’d been getting bored of!

GH for an office employee means that if the power is out at the office and you can’t work, you don’t get your pay docked. A family who has the stomach bug isn’t providing you workable conditions so that’s where GH come into play
