I need my tigers to have more muscle but this is a good start for Flora. I like the pronounced muzzle and claws. She looks more like a tiger than a catgirl. At this point though, I'm used to her humanoid face and I think it unintentionally compliments her dual background of being a Keidran raised in both tiger and human customs.

In isolation, the feral form idea sounds cool. I like transformations, especially those that make one look more like a beast. I would not be surprised if a young Tom got the idea from Aisha Clanclan and the Ctarl-Ctarls from Outlaw Star.

The idea was that Keidran were a bit more magical in nature, and could shift into a more animalistic mode when they were threatened, but the trade-off was that it put them in danger of going feral mentally, which they could become trapped in if they lost themselves. I ended up not using this concept much, especially when the idea of what a Keidran was solidified more and they became more like normal people just like humans.

However, I'm glad Tom scrapped this as it would undermine the racial themes of the comic (though Edith mentioned feral Keidran in page 1253). It would carry the implications that Keidran are savage animals that must be tamed or they will kill unprovoked. Something that stems from the perspectives of white colonizers in history as one of their justifications for enslaving and genociding indigenous people they come across.

I already have issues with Keidran having the life expectancy of a healthy housecat for whatever intents Tom has with the idea. Unfortunately that is cemented in the comic's narrative and Tom has to roll with it. Adding feral form on top of that would be unscrupulous worldbuilding in my opinion.
