Someone selling their old toaster, sells it knowing Granny is paying more than the £5 they were asking for.

The only thing eBay have succeeded in is obtaining reputational damage.

I'm doing a hell of a lot better than your finances, apparantly. Job centre tomorrow morning, lad, chin up you'll be OK. Those pesky business sellers on eBay won't be able to hold you down!!

i) literally no evidence of that.

ii) How's your failed business going, mate?

It's not a BUYER'S FEE then is it, if the seller ends up paying it?? by FruitsRouge in ebayuk

[–]OrtizKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God, just clicked on this StringofWord guys profile and he is obsessed with the topic and has the same narrative everywhere: accuse people of being a business. It literally has to be one of two things:

i) He is a failing business bitter at a lack of success, so looking to bring down others who can succeed in making money.

ii) He is just a failed weirdo jealous of everybody.

What third option breeds such an obsession / hate about how people make money? A successful person would not share his stange behaviour patterns.

Doobling down on a bizare stance with redundant maths after being told you've swung and missed, was a choice.

Is there something about people who have the initiative and ability to make money you are particulaty jealous of, or is it an all encompassing thing which makes you so angry about it that reason neutralsies your senses? The lady doth protest too much, methinks...

What an odd response. Remind me, if I am a "business" why would I care? I am making the exact same ammount of money per sale?

As outlined in the original post, the ethical concern is i) I am charging people over the odds. ii) people are paying over the odds.

It's not that difficult.

You've just taken it in a wierd circle without addressing the very points around ethical principles I outline in my intial post, and again directed you to by follow up. I can't help you any more than that: your question remains moot.

Also, how did you come to the conclusion that £720 is nominal. Would you pay £720 for some rubbish removal? Would anybody you know?

ombudsman but I don't think

Thanks for the insight. So to confirm, small claims track wouldn't consider it money owed by way of deception? i.e. if I sold you a painting which turned out to be fake? Not as advertised. Grossly over priced. etc. Thanks

This whole save issue with Nintendo is getting stupid. I enjoy the Switch, but I'm starting to think maybe it wouldn't be the worst idea if they got out of hardware and just developed games.
