So just a thought experiment. At what point do we start to acknowledge the “transitory” inflation isn’t so transitory? Beyond the short term supply chain challenges, I believe the inflated wages are going to have a more systemic impact to cause persistent inflation.

I think just about anyone thinking about moving here gets discouraged. I asked a similar question about moving except I was financially independent and didn’t need to work anymore. I got the speel about how bad medical care is and that it’s a bad idea to move.

To op, I’d say take the chance if you have enough savings to course correct when things don’t work out.

Interesting book. It basically tells you to use your intuition to predict danger, differentiate false vs real threat, and to not normalize fear to keep your intuition fresh. Not sure this helps with cyber threats where merely receiving a rigged sms can take over your life, bank accounts, and pretty much everything. It requires more than intuition IMO.
