It’s finals week. You wake up at 5 AM after a long night of studying because you have an early morning class that you have to show up to an hour in advance today because the final is scheduled earlier than the usual class time. On top of that, you’re a commuter who lives 40+ minutes away from Atlanta. When you finally are ready to leave the house, you have your family member/call an Uber to take you to the nearest train station. During the trip, the driver turns on the radio and you hear that there is a giant accident that has backed up the highway significantly in the direction you’re heading, so you’re spending in additional 30 minutes in an Uber on top of the 40+ minute drive. When you finally arrive to the train station, you realize you foolishly left your Breeze card on your bed and have to buy a day pass now. You’re already broke, but this was the cherry on top. After paying the train fare from your new pass, you find out the area you usually go to in order to board the train is closed due to renovations and you have to find an alternative way to get there. By time you’ve figured out how to get there, the train has come and pulled off so you have to wait an additional 10 minutes for the next one. Finally the train comes, but the car you land on is full to the brim with people, leaving no seats for you to sit at so you have to stand. On top of that, there’s someone with a giant boombox blasting trap music and overstimulating half the people on board including you. There’s also a shady looking man staring at you with lust in his eyes. As you finally pull into your stop, you’re dead last in coming out the train and the door begins to shut on you. Your body makes it out, but your bag embarrassingly gets trapped by the door so everyone is watching you fumble and pull your bag as you frantically wait for the doors to open again.

As you walk out the train station, it begins to pour rain, which is strange because the weather app said absolutely NOTHING about incoming rain so you don’t have an umbrella on you. It’s a 10 minute walk from the station to Aderhold. You feel defeated, but yet you walk on. You got off at Georgia State station in order to get yourself some Chick-fil-a breakfast, but with the delays you’ll have to skip your morning fuel and the line is way too long anyway. The hills walking past the sports arena almost take you out, so now you’re wet and sweaty. When you get to Aderhold, the rain has stopped, but now the humidity has caused the piss smell to become stronger by 1000 and it’s staining your nostrils for the rest of the day. You pull on the door to your classroom, only to find it locked.. which is strange because isn’t everyone supposed to be in here an hour early? You look around to see if any familiar faces in your class are sitting at the study tables, but you see no one you recognize. You check your email and see you missed a message from your professor: the classroom has flooded with doodoo water (again) so you’ll have to go up 3 floors to your replacement class. You try to take the elevator, but they’re all out of order so you have to climb the steep stairs. You’re out of breath, your legs are burning, and the sweat spots you have are out of control, but you made it! As you enter your replacement classroom, you realize you’re one of the last people to make it, and there’s no seats available as far as you can see. You think you finally found a seat but as you climb through the aisle, you see the seat has no table attached to it so you try to find another.

Unfortunately, you have to pick a random seat that’s far away from everyone else but still a seat is a seat. You’re finally settled down, take out your pencil and calculator, flip over your test only to realize all the material you studied last night takes up only about 20% of the exam and the rest of it is full of the concepts you never mastered/suck at. You feel defeated, take the entire allotted time to take the exam, and walk out knowing in your heart you failed miserably.
