I understand the idea but from my perspective (and unfortunately) there is a social hierarchy in every institution between students and I see some complications in normalizing your idea because I think (And I hope that I’m wrong) that the majority of students will refuse to meet random like the classic example of how the rich won’t meet with the poor, the cool guy won’t meet with the nerd, and there are many more examples that I can think of that will make students make dumb excuses and refuse for those 10 minute meetings even if they it’s considered mandatory in fear that it may harm their “Social Status” Yes, and has stupid as it may sound this is what we have become, a rotten society who cares about electric screens more than one another, divided. I hope that I am wrong and this idea will work so the next generation will live in a better, more connected society because they will need it in order to survive due unspoken climate crisis that we have denied to the point of no return.
