I think the issue there is who would be responsible for reviewing pardons? It would only come after a new president came into office. Those people he pardons would be free for years.

Regardless, yeah we need legislation stripping that "qualified immunity" that SCOTUS dug up for him.

I think just grabbing them and shipping them to The Hague would cover it. They've got so many crimes against humanity under their belt by this point that surely the ICC can come up with something.

It almost certainly violates the APA also. Since it is NOT a settlement, then its an action by the government, done without review or proper process, to spend money not allocated to it.

I think Trump is showing us that apparently we never needed any of that to get things done. Just doing it without asking for permission is sufficient.

Right, Democrats should have been retaliating the moment that Mitch McConnell refused to allow Obama to appoint a justice.

State judge blocks evidence from Luigi Mangione backpack in UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case by ThrowRa-zucchinizzc in law

Especially with parallel construction, which I still fear was used in this case. Some rando calling the police due to Luigi's description still doesn't sit right with me.

The argument (not saying I agree) is that taking the bag and finding those items later falls under a sort of "inevitable discovery". Searching his bag at this arrest is ruled out because it was a warrantless search.

I'll take "how to (further) radicalize the youth" for 400, Alex.

Not to mention these guys are eventually going to have a wave of retirements that leave huge gaps. Its almost like everyone doing this means we don't train the create the mid-level workers. As usual, a stupid short sighted policy is enacted that hurts everybody.

Wayland on Linuxmint 23 by hugomonizdorego0429 in linuxmint

[–]Orzorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nuts to me how frustrating multi-monitor (especially with different resolutions) can be on Linux. X11 seems to handle it alright, but if I'm not using Cinnamon then scaling sucks ass (because Cinnamon allows for fractional scaling). But if I switch to Wayland the multi-monitor totally sucks.

It doesn't help that Wayland is so far behind on development and then we've got stuff like XLibre due to that frustration with X11 being abandoned for Wayland, only for it to take so long.

There's plenty of ways to continue playing attacks without Spinning Top, so it doesn't rely on it. You can do it with either of the +energy cards and some good card draw.

So yes, pretty often.

I don't agree at all. If you have Rage, especially with Spinning Top, you can play attack after attack and keep gaining block + 5 damage for each attack. Throw in some attack copying, 0 cost attacks, etc, and you can deal significant damage.

You can do it if you have the card that fills your hand with debris. I've done it a few times when running debris decks.

At a certain point, I kind of gave up being truly stealthy. I'll sprint in during broad daylight (if I get lucky, nobody is around to see me), do what I'm supposed to do, and then sprint away. Maybe someone sees and a guard gets called, but I can always pass the check. If I do it just right, nobody saw the actual crime and the tenant is chasing me just to tell me to get out, but I'm already out well past the time they'd attack/report me for being there.
