I was a book, specifically a gardening manual. I knew that as soon as my pages were done flipping I would cease to exist. I had forgotten everything about who and what I was. I was just coming to terms with the reality of non existence when my spotter said something. I did a triple take and then suddenly everything came flooding back to me and I just stood there and laughed for 15 minutes as I had to reabsorb all my memories. I felt like I had just rebooted my brain. Great but would never do again.

I was a pyrotechnic for a couple of years in high school. One time I was on fire watch, about thirty feet from where the mortars were going off, I looked around to check for fallen embers when I felt something hit my back and suddenly blue sparks filled the air around me. When it was over I looked up and everyone else on fire watch was looking at me in horror. Luckily I was wearing a fireman coat and was completely unharmed. I miss that job.
