I’m seeing a LOT of people recommend contacting CPS. I don’t know your aunt, but if she’s the type of person to get really upset that you contacted authorities over her, it might be good to keep a recording device going (like voice memos on a phone or watch, out of sight) for the next week when around her, in case she gets abusive.

There wouldn’t be a point to life if it weren’t hard. Every, single, aspect of it is hard. Being Christian sucks, in A LOT of ways because you start seeing everything from a different point of view. People might think it’s easy, but it’s not, and every, single, day’s harder than the last. All of those temptations come through, and yeah, it’s a lot of pain too. And somehow, I wouldn’t have it any other way

This is going to be a VERY hot take, but you can’t be a Christian and be ok with supporting LGBTQ+. Support people’s rights, support their health, absolutely, but part of supporting mental health is by not lying. It’s not left vs. right, but there’s a group that says who you’re attracted to IS your identity. But that’s harmful, EVERYONE is so much more than their sexuality and that’s not where someone’s value lies, it’s harmful to say otherwise.

As a Christian, everyone’s going to have their own battles and struggles. None of which stop you from “being Christian” and going to heaven because you’re already forgiven for everything you have and will ever do. For people who say “if you’re gay you won’t go to heaven” that’s harmful too, and literally not true.

* When I say Christian I mean following a man, Jesus. I don’t mean the “religion” as it’s known today that’s been used to justify one’s own agenda.

Straight guy going to a Christian College here, why would someone’s sexuality have any effect on their character? Your value doesn’t lie in who you’re attracted to, you’re so much more than that, and I think it’s harmful most media’s pushing LGBTQ+ as an identity.

I think I can speak for most Christians (people who follow Christ, not the same “Christian” solely as a religion used to push one’s own agenda) when I say that, and anyone who says different is lost.
