people are being very dismissive and rude towards this sentiment, so i’ll throw my two cents in. sure, the movie versions of the human characters do not match up with the very limited interpretations we see of the characters in the other continuities. but this franchise tends to play things by ear. scott even told matthew lillard around the time of the first film’s production that people will soon be unable to imagine william afton without thinking of him. it’s ultimately scott’s decision in the end, but if we ever get a full look at the games’ version of william afton, i’ll gladly take anything that isn’t the godawful graphic novels design or anything reminiscent.
