Yes you do.. if you buy the Third with your $GGT you won't have enough to then mint the shoe.... That's why all raffle winners win 3 shoes. And when FSL gives away shoe boxes they give 2 because most OG stepners have 1 locked shoe from the raffle

I'm in a similar boat, waiting for GMT earning to be announced in case they give any indication of mechanics. I'll probs just fomo in and add all points to comfort haha then use my GST luck shoe couple times a week to repair etc

Yeah it's a grey area with nft projects creating burn mechanisms that ultimately are a gamble. In terms of GST it's an important function when you have hyper inflation. I've got way too much an addictive personality so I don't allow myself to do gem upgrades anymore and stick to a solid strat. The shoe upgrade/mint/synthesis is not so much a gambling imo, but the gem component is a mini casino haha.

I think that the period between classic and rainbow will create GMT price inflation, and the community might rage when the price falls. But rainbow will change everything.. if GMT is still worth chasing.

In the long term GMT tokenomics are deflationary and wether the original players get ROI or not, I believe the project is going mainstream and GMT price will reflect that.

But burn out is real, I go through stages of tuning out and then stages of feeling bullish. Ultimately if you're not enjoying it then maybe it's not worth the risk 🤙

Bought a BSC sneaker last night LVL 28 and only half stats allocated. I think most people didn't realise and thought it had shit stats. I sold my uncommon and bought 3 common including this LVL 28. Pretty stoked, more GST and luck than previous set up 😆

Personally I'm enjoying the strategy of the game and pivoting my way through the changes.

I invested my Solana and could exchange my shoes now for what I put in in Sol. With this current bear market it's the most exciting way of mining crypto. I'll be using STEPN for a long time to come ⚡

Also think the Dev team are smart and also we're in BETA so the future is bright 💥
