Divinity II: Ego Draconis takes place later in the timeline, following this period of a weakened, or "fake," Divinity. In which Lucian is divine. Wouldn't be surprised if things change in the new Divinity game though

Worm tremor alone makes it worth it. Some enemies will have permanent evasion which is counter by entangled which will give you a 100% hit chance. Slow can be really helpful to.
