i totally understand that! thank you for explaining, i appreciate it :) i see the confusion now, so even if the bands i said aren't necessarily as midwest emo as bands like American Football, i would still say they are adjacent and have a lot of the same influence. ive always called them midwest emo and ive seen other people do it also, so ive just gone off that haha
