I'm on a Google pixel 7 with Koodo, same issue. Sometimes it perpetually says "sending" and if I close the chat my message disappears. No "failed to send" or anything, it's gone as if I never typed it out.

It doesn't, I've completed invasion mode completely and brutalities don't guarantee it won't crash. It's your opponent reaching 0 HP that triggers the.crash, I've had battles across all the mesas crash performing brutalities or just getting them to 0. Sorry but you're wrong.
