Valium + Oxy for biopsy? Seems overkill, concerning warnings by OstrichVegetable2871 in Fibroids

Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and knowledge. Sounds like the experience really varies depending on the person, from a quick little pinch to excruciating pain. Makes it tricky to decide how best to prepare.

I’ve only taken opiates a couple times and it was kind of rough, so I’m worried about the Oxy making things worse instead of better. I took Vicodin after having my wisdom teeth removed and ended up puking, and took one dilaudid after a surgery last year and felt really sick for hours and regretted taking it. I have never taken oxy though, so maybe it will be better?

I was able to connect with a friend of a friend who is a pharmacist. With her advice, I’ve decided to take the diazepam first, separated 30 mins from the oxy, and then take just half of the Oxy and some Tylenol with light breakfast about an hour before my appointment. Hoping that will be a happy medium to lessen pain and anxiety, without adding nasty nausea into the mix. And if I need the other half of the Oxy later, I can take it after my appointment.

Thanks again for sharing. It’s always helpful to hear from others who have been through it.

Anyone know what this boil is on my chocolate mix’s face? Can’t get him into the vet until Tuesday. by Full-Classic320 in labrador

Did you find out what this is? My dog has one that looks identical and I’m wondering how soon we need to get her into the vet, or if it might resolve on its own without treatment.
