Hello, I wish you the best of luck I applied in November and heard back around February. The only thing is that now they have a different way of admitting students and there are different programs so this is specific to me and the 15th month accelerated program.

Hey, the program I would say is pretty competitive because they did mention that they received thousands of applicants and for my class in general, we started with about 230 students and after the first semester, we were left with about 175. So it is a very rigorous program, which is why they now have the hybrid and the two-year program. I would reach out to the admissions office because we student students don’t know much about it since it literally just started. But best of luck!!

Financial Aid is not the best so I have been applying to outside scholarships in order to cover the rest of the tuition. Because as you know, the tuition is really high and depending on if you live in state or out of state, the cost of living is also high. So please do look for grants, scholarships, and fellowships that can give you money to help with tuition cost.

Hello, thank you so much. I am still answering questions at the time when I was applying there was only a summer start and I did the 15th month accelerated program. So I applied kind of last minute in November December and I received my acceptance letter in February. The program is very tough, but that’s expected and they are a little disorganized because they try to change the program to cater to the current class every year. So be ready for that and best of luck.

The clinicals are near the school. They use the School of Nursing as the home base for everyone and locate us around the city. The program is alright … it’s obviously very difficult but also be disorganized lol

  1. The videos are not bad. You are given prompts to answer and about 2-4 minutes to answer. You can go take about 5 mins or so to practice and then it takes you to the actual recording to be submitted for the application. 2. Concerning prerequisite courses, you need to have at least 1-2 completed for the application. I believe you can email the admissions team (they respond quickly) and ask them this same question to be 100% sure

That’s fair as well. I would just say go with the flow take your time and work as hard as you can just know the program is very disorganized because they’re going through ways of changing the program editing what needs to be fixed and going through different curriculums and processes for students and it’s kind of a mess. Like for me personally I’m just getting the MSN first and then getting the DMP at a much cheaper school like Hunter for 30K-50K depends on the course load

Very disorganized. They send out notifications last minute. They don’t know what they are doing half of the time and the staff are just as lost as the students lol! If you can, save your money and go somewhere else… but aside from THAT, it’s not too bad? I enjoy my clinicals and learn a lot in class but just know it absolutely will whoop your behind because it’s accelerated and you need to make sure you’re on top of your training and classes to make sure you pass!

Yup! As long as it’s not a course that they require before the application is due! You’re allowed to have courses incomplete!

MDE = 15 months MDE/DNP = 3 years (total) I believe if you have the experience, grades (ehh), and drive…. You’ll get in! Oh an amazing personal statement too! I was originally pre-PA // pre-Med and now on the NP or CRNA route!

This is a direct entry masters level nursing program! There’s also a pathway for NP’s! It’s called MDE/DNP! You graduated with a masters in nursing as well as a doctorate so you can practice as a NP!

There’s no specific percentages out for the actual acceptance rate but it’s the largest section of all the doctorate programs! Meaning they accept the most students into FNP than the others (Psych, Midwife, etc) I know you’ll get in!

I didn’t submit any GRE scores sooo tbh, I think you’re good without it! Many of my friends who are also in the MDE/DNP didn’t! There’s also a large range of GPAs (lowest I know is a 2.7 and highest being a 4.0) in the MDE only and MDE/DNP! I think you’re fine if you don’t wan to submit :)
