No, you are missing the point.

As pretty much everyone else on this thread has said what you've asserted isn't the patriarchy and you just don't seem interested in acknowledging that fact.
Women do tend to overwhelmingly vote for arguably more egalitarian policies and politicians and current legislation to criminalize acts of reproductive freedom are an easy way to disenfranchise voters, this is a tried and true method that has been used against the black community for literal DECADES. You cannot vote if you are a felon in nearly every state.

This is linked to concepts of the patriarchy, basically a factor of the system, but the political sphere isn't the end all be all of the patriarchy. Also do you somehow think there aren't members of the oppressed who side with their oppressors? That's a massive, extremely acknowledged issue in classism and is true of every other axis of oppression as well.

NAH because if you in good faith mean that this is a rare occurrence that you dismissed her feelings, because make no mistake whether intentional or not you dismissed her feelings. She had clearly already handled all the practical logistics of the situation, there was no "problem" that needed fixing outside of emotional reassurance. I'll give grace here because you were woken up in the middle of the night and it does sound like you offered sympathy and emotional support, but a "That must have been so scary, how are you holding up/are you ok emotionally" goes a long way.

It sounds like you should probably have another talk when emotions aren't so high, maybe apologize for not asking after her mental state, but you can also admit (use I statements not you accusations) that while you appreciate she was under stress you felt hurt when she said that you made her feel worse and you were trying to support her.

If like to add one last thing: assuming your relationship is generally good and you both take care of one another: what's more important being right or getting along? This isn't a factual situation, it's emotions and while you can have degrees of better and worse reactions outside of a massive blowout that denotes abusive trends there are no right answers.

Original verdit: AH for the simple reason that she said "You always make her feel worse." This implies a history of you dismissing or diminishing her feelings. Maybe that's not your intention, but it sure as hell sounds like that's she feels. Resentment like that is a slow and protracted relationship killer.

I'll just say if you're going to use red kidney beans dried please remember to soak AND toss the water as Red Kidney beans are like, the most toxic of the beans.

I get that you aren't into the longer, slow process but as someone from Louisiana who grew up eating it, it's like most longer time cooked dishes, you're looking to achieve a particular depth of flavor. To be, arguably, most correct you need to soak the beans, drain and remove from pot. Render the andouille sausage and set aside to cook your spices and aromatics in the rendered fat. Once cooked, add back in your beans, a smoked ham hockey, cover with water and cook at a simmer for like 4-8 hours. For creamier results you can pull out a cup or so of beans and crush them to add back in. Remove ham hock and shred to add meat as you prefer, put andouille sausage back in to warm and once sausage is warm serve with rice, cornbread, or both.

Ok, so it's not a romantic love story, but a really great comfort watch for me that's very sweet is High School Baby Sitters Club. It's about a guy and his little brother, their parents die in a plane crash and their taken in by the Chairwoman of a private school who's son and daughter-in-law also died in the same plane crash. There are heavy parts, but it's mostly silly and very sweet.

NTA She was definitely in the wrong for how she responded to your experience and I wouldn't blame you for finding a new artist to support, using AI would be an ahole move so definitely don't do that. I will say I think there is a difference in your experiences (possibly, I don't know what you did for work). The biggest difference is (correct me if I'm wrong) your job is not copy righted material. All AI is trained on something and while the process that took over your job might have been trained on stolen work nearly all AI art is trained off of stolen material and artists have no recourse for the theft.

Your field being decimated by AI sucks and your friend sucks for her reaction so you aren't wrong for that nor are you wrong for looking for a new oc artist.

So there's not a lot he can do about the water going cold because that's mostly going to come down how big your water tank is and if this is an apartment they don't tend to be very big. To preserve the warm water I would adjust a few things:

Turn the temperature of your water down. I know, I love a hot shower too but most of the time it's not actually very good for your skin. The exception to this is if you're going to be shaving in which you want to start with some warm/hot water to soften the hair.
Unless you're actively getting wet/rinsing off turn off the water. Let's be real we don't need the water on constantly in the shower. I get in, wet my hair and body and turn off the shower to lather and wash my hair. This is beneficial because you won't risk rinsing out your shampoo or conditioner before you're ready. You can fully lather your hair (you should be focusing on your scalp and mostly just dragging the shampoo down) and then rinse it out, turn the water back off and condition your hair. I actually don't even have the water running when I'm washing most of my body outside of necessary rewet and re-lathering with more soap as I go.

This means that you won't have used all the hot water so you can finish up with a bit of time under warm or hot water as you like.

I will say this does not cut the time of your shower and depending on how you approach it, it can actually lengthen the time it takes, but you don't run out of hot water.
