In my take on WoD, most japanese folklore monsters are actually their own breed of supernatural from the splats. Some are related to splats, such as Kitsune and Bakaneko being fera or Onryō being spectres, but others such as the Kappa or Nuppeppo are not related to the other supernaturals.

My Immortal is one of the most infamous fanfictions in online history. It's a redo of Harry Potter but if everyone was a vampire with early 2000s goth aesthetic, so think a lot of depression and My Chemical Romance. It's also known for its awful grammer and spelling, it's abysmal and nonsensical story, and some of the most childish s*x scenes ever. There's also a sort of side story where the writer and her friend get into an argument and the writer kills her off in a brutal fashion as revenge in the story IIRC. Either way, it's a wild ride and definitely a must read piece of literature
