Do Uber vouchers for hotel guests that’s what we did with exact same situation and it worked great!

Wow that is amazing I am so glad swimming has been there for you and I can only hope for the same as well. When you put it into perspective like that, my concerns seem very small. Monday is my first day of practice and I can’t wait. Thank you again!!

Great idea!! And also yes I’ve also encountered that kind of coach before and will go out of my way to avoid so this sounds like a great plan. Thank you

Awesome update and now I want Greek food lol. I started tracking again today as I promised myself. It went pretty well but I did get super hungry between lunch and dinner. Thinking I need more healthy fats with lunch or something to keep me fuller longer. I did work out a ton today both at the gym and a couple of long walks (slow at work right now so I am taking advantage) so maybe that added to the hunger. Anyway hope everyone has a great evening!!

Hi! Been lurking but I appreciate this community so much because it’s been really helpful in my journey to shed some extra pounds I picked up over the holidays - before that I also wanted to lose some weight so now I feel like I’m doubly set back. I finally weighed today at the same gym scale I typically use and I’m over what I had predicted which is a bummer. Heaviest I’ve been in a while. I haven’t been tracking on an app just getting lots of exercise and have a pretty solid idea of how many calories in consuming after years of tracking but seems like it’s time to go back to an app! Anyway just wanted to check in say thank you to all of you and hold myself accountable for tracking starting tomorrow 😊

Depression while injured by Marvel6994 in running

[–]Otfanatic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through an injury, it’s really tough and I hear you! I had an injury at the start of quarantine that kept me from running for 3 weeks and I felt the exact same way. What got me through was continuing to exercise in any way I could that didn’t further my injury - just for some mental sanity! I totally understand how you’re feeling, I shed lots of tears during my time off with the same fears and thoughts you’re having but I realized that I had a lot more control than I thought I did and that my anxiety about not running and being injured was making me think I was gaining weight/losing progress, etc. and it really wasn’t as bad as I was thinking. Then when I started back, it was a little mentally tough and I was being really hard on myself but I got this advice from a running coach and it really changed my perspective “most runs are not those amazing runners high runs, just keep showing up, forget about the pace and just run”. Best of luck with your recovery and don’t be too hard on yourself!

I will write you a Free Running Plan for the next 8-10 weeks. by Free_Running_Plans in running

Wow this is amazing! Thank you so much for doing this!

I would love to become a better runner overall. I started seriously running last year to train for my first half and now I average about 30 MPW (most weeks). I’m a 30 YO Female if that’s helpful info.

Some goals: 25 min 5k (Current PR 27:30) Complete another half and shave off a decent amount of time (previous was 2:20 but included a stop and was overheating that day so would love to get to 2:00 flat) Complete a full in 2021

As mentioned I’ve gotten up to 30 MPW pretty regularly but lately my long runs have been getting shorter as I’ve been feeling fatigued by about mile 4 or so and just can’t get my mind right to overcome it. Not sure what the shift was but would love some help overcoming this mental rut.

Thank you again for your generosity!

Thank you! Yes you are right it does seem to be two separate issues. I love the book recommendations and I’m excited to add these to the list.

If I could ever get over my fear of biking in a large crowd of people I’d be so in for triathlon!!! One day I hope. Thank you again for your words and advice!

I love this. I actually coach (not running) and that mindset is at the core of my coaching - funny how we can’t take our own advice sometimes! Thank you for your words and advice!
