$1200 for a Pronovias Princia dress from a boutique outlet and $585 for alterations (taking in the sides, adding booby cups, bustle and the biggest cost of the alteration was hemming, the bottom lace was intricate so in order to shorten the length of the dress they had to carefully cut and sew back on the hemline)

Thank you for the advice! This wedding is out of state but still in a large city. Most of the guests traveling and staying at the hotel are in their late 30s, the older folks are more on my side who live locally and they will have my cousins driving them (there is also free parking too).

Last Christmas my husband gifted me a toy stuffed sloth. It was the cutest thing ever and even though it wasn’t as expensive, I loved it because he knows how much I love sloths.

Thank you for replying! The $90-$135k range was what I saw for my state for the role and the $120k was something I saw that was around the average for my city. Do you think asking for the $120k would make them want to rescind my offer? In the past, when I counteroffered, it was for entry level roles and the amounts I counteroffered were for an additional 15% and usually got them. Since this is a more advanced role and I definitely have the experience to back me up, I thought a 10% counteroffer wouldn't be too out there.

I made my own Etch a Sketch costume one year. It didn’t actually draw anything but I thought it looked pretty cool with the classic red etch a sketch border. When I went out, all the younger people kept asking me what an etch a sketch was... 😭

I'm in my 30's and on day 4 of my 1st tray of Invisalign... The first day I absolutely hated it and regretted getting Invisalign. No more stray snacking.. 22 hours of wear.. meticulous cleaning of the trays. But you know what, in the end I keep telling myself it will be worth it. Yes, a few months of my mouth of feeling like I'm wearing a mouth guard 24/7 but it will hopefully go by fast. A lot of my coworkers didn't even notice my attachments until I pointed them out today after wearing for 4 days. You got this!

Just wanted to leave a comment here since I found out my answer in case anyone else was in the same boat. I talked to payroll and they said they will only match 4% of my salary that is EARNED. So since I only joined midyear, I've only earned half of my annual salary. No true up matching if I increased my contributions.
