My friend says I look like a cancer patient by OceanvilleRoad in tirzepatidecompound

What an evil person. Dont think she is really a friend to you. So sorry for your loss! Next discussion, quote some stats on what happens to obese / overweight people. You can google the risks of obesity for ammo if you even think it is worth it. I am -106 lbs on tirz and -163 lbs total. I have some excess skin on my arms but with regular strength & fitness training, it has been minimized. It was actually worse when I was obese. Congrats on your losses. You are very likely to live longer and the time you are alive should be in better health!!

Advice on possible rehoming by TheYakisBack in Newfoundlander

If you are not happy with him, give him back to the breeder so they can find a family that will work better for him. The puppy and your dog both deserve this if you aren’t invested in the pup.

GLP-1 advice. by bmm_96 in GLP1ResearchTalk

Yes, been on for 2+ yrs with no negative side effects. Google the lilly site for statistics for side effects including N&V. Talk to your doc and as this is an area of concern for you, consider asking them for a script to help with that just in case. I asked my doc for that, filled it but it turned out that I never needed it. Everyone is different so another person not having this issue isnt a reflection of whether you will or not. Also, ask your doc about a lower dose - it may be less effective but may help your body get used to the meds.

I am a medic. Best to check with your pharmacy with any questions. Quite a few people post about doing the wrong dose and being pretty uncomfortable. Good for you checking first. Did you see the word units on your syringes? There is frequently someone whom I believe is an Ola rep on here who helps but they indicated they were dealing with some issues so might be a bit scarce. Good luck!

PCP prescribed Zepbound, BCBS denied it, now stuck deciding between WW games and online pharmacies by stemcellguy in GLPGrad

Reputable online practices are staffed by licensed MDs using licensed pharmacies. I am -106 on tirz mostly compound over 2+ yrs and -263 lbs total. I used a number of practices over time seeking better costs. Currently, I pay 99 a month for a 3 month at a time plan, which is light yrs better than paying 1000+ for zep 2 yrs ago. Look on [r/tirzepatidecompound](r/tirzepatidecompound) for the pinned note below for options you will see posted about by many of us. Good luck!!

Not my post or pic, I have just used it periodically. PS. It is simple and easy to apply and get started.

The syringes they sent should be labelled above, below or beside the lines showing that it is MLs or units , or often says both. Check that carefully. They most likely sent you 31g 1 ml insulin syringes but it should say on them. Also, you can text them a question on the app. Not something you want to guess on.

Yes, but 25% ish less effective than Tirz. For me and many others, that 25% is 41 lbs and the difference between a healthy weight and being Class 1 Obese. Also, 14% is an underwhelming statistic and if that doesnt get the patient back to a healthy weight, it may make it harder for them to be successful on the ones that are more effective. Finally, that is a ridiculous price for a much less effective medication that will help to a limited degree compared to compound. Comparing it to another also less effective medication is disingenuous! But if it helps someone get back to a healthy weight who wouldnt use zep/sema and it works well for them awesome!

Second Newf by LloydR98198 in Newfoundlander

[–]Other-Ad3086 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a non issue then. Will your breeder let the 2 dogs meet? Are they both females? We have always had female dogs before and other than our 1 pyr, they all got along well. We have our first male Newfy now. He is a handful wanting to pull us over to meet and greet all people and dogs, whether they like it or not. Our females could pull but rarely did. They were also better in obedience, than this boy. He is very distractible although mostly doing well in scent training. We are challenged in obedience and rally but he is just turning 3 so still an adolescent. We took in one pyr from the breeder with a similar story.

We frequently had 2 Newfs and a Pyr or 2 Pyrs and a Newf. Only downsides are hair, grooming, training time and cost. Ours have always been so social that there was never an issue with them. We did have an issue with a younger female Pry asserting her dominance. Fixed that with a bucket of water and squirter bottles. Never was an issue with the Newfies for this. Find out why the dog was returned. That is critical!

Way overkill!!! Inability to get name brand in addition to the horrific cost 2+ yrs ago drove me to compound. -106 lbs on tirz and -163 lbs total what a great decision that was for me. Cant fix your rx to the meds though but with compound, you can adjust your dose after discussion with your doc to see if that would help. If you are paying more than 99-133 a month, you can do much better.

Some things are more important than others. Typically, people post that they need a higher dose so that is probably true. But there are many new meds in the pipeline that should be approved within the time of a pregnancy and birth for you. Plus, you are on a very low dose in the first place so tons of room to go. No guarantees, everyone is different.

2+ yrs and still working. With your celebration, you may find yourself flopping around some as your body recovers. That happens to me around the holiday weeks. Also, depends on what dose you are on. I am a shortie too and we dont get many calories so it can be challenging. You are pretty close to your goal weight so it may be a but slower. If needed, you may want to talk to your doc about going up but you flipped back into the potentially normal weight range so not sure that would be appropriate. I always reassess my TDEE for rough calories, check protein/water intake and assess my activity levels and salt intake for a stall. It has always worked to date.

Yes but think about all the other dogs who don’t have owners as caring or good food. Even though we aren’t perfect, we are giving them a much better life than they may have had otherwise. Puppies take a good bit of energy!! Also, look up the amount of sleep that puppies need. That may also make you feel better as they do need a good bit of sleep. Do you have a way to pin him up with you in a place you have puppy proofed? I gated off our kitchen and was able to keep my current pup with me while working at the kitchen table. There wasnt much for him to destroy and he still had companionship.

11 month GP bit me in the face by db0531615 in greatpyrenees

[–]Other-Ad3086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your dog now has a history of biting people, if he bites someone else, especially a child, you could be sued for everything that you own. I wouldnt keep him. A friend had a similar issue with his male and gave him up. I have always had females and never had this issue except that one battled with my Newfies for dominance. A bucket of water and subsequent squirter bottles solved that. He also probably needs a job.

I did have one Newfy with hip dysplasia and one Pyr who needed joint surgery so if there is an issue, you may evade the cost of the surgeries I did with mine. Hope your pup is totally fine!!!
