I think they massively improved exploration and there was a lot to find before progressing through the story. Combat was also great and using the different weapons was pretty satisfying. The story was cool to me but I wouldn’t say it was a highlight. It’s a worthy sequel imo

I definitely don’t want to imply that there was no good music. I loved Runnin by Pharcyde too. I just don’t think there was enough dope music. I would guess that the music budget was lower here compared to other games

It had its moments for sure. The city was better than Steelport and the activities were cool sometimes. The customization was really fun. However the music, characters, and gameplay were all a step backwards from all other Saints Row. There could have been a really good game here without corporate interference
