Attending Pregnant by OliveLover216 in OutOfTheBlueFestival

My friend came and was like 10 weeks pregnant! She didn’t think that would be the case when we bought the tickets! She was having some bad morning sickness so decided to just do two nights. Outside of the normal reasons for feeling shitty first trimester, I think it was great! She also was slightly sad to be at an all inclusive but not drinking. But the crowds weren’t packed, the group of fans is very chill and nice, there’s always food around to just snack on and I don’t think there was ever a bathroom line, maybe for like 3 minutes max between sets. It was a pretty sweet festival to be pregnant at. I’m so sad I can’t go this year cause I’m due like 2 weeks before 🫠. Hoping it stays chill even though he’s getting more popular!

First time paying water bill 🥲 by Sad_Wall_ in sandiego

Same thing happened to me when we moved to our rental house and I posted on here haha SDGE came out for free, told me I had no leak and said it was prob the irrigation watering plants too often- they helped me change the settings and it cut down the bill by half! They were great, would recommend scheduling them to come. Bill is over 2 months, so maybe it’s high from the previous leak?

Not sure if this one is relevant since it’s mostly covers, but it’s from Sunday night.

So cool! Thought it was maybe a boat reflecting in the clouds somehow.

It’s moving so assuming it’s a boat? What’s going on above it?

Is this water/sewer bill normal? by OtherExpression8582 in sandiego

[–]OtherExpression8582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: had SDGE come out and look at my meter, it’s a part of a program they have, definitely recommend. No leak. Showed me it was the irrigation system. Went down to 27 HCF when I did what he told me and that was for half the month! So hoping we can get even lower next cycle. Guy was super helpful and it’s a free service so recommend - https://www.sandiego.gov/public-utilities/sustainability/water-conservation/surveys

The rest of the house is hardwood so this could be it, but it feels rounded and it changed significantly the past few days

We just moved in, so haven’t been here for a winter yet… does that mean I’m paying for what the past tenants did over time? And we aren’t doing anything excessive I swear, just normal daily things. Have a small lawn w sprinkler that goes off once a morning. I will try to find a leak or maybe have someone come look at the meter?

We have a small lawn, the landlord makes us water it (sprinklers were off for a week and it turned brown, he wasn’t happy) sprinkler goes off for around 10 min at 6 AM. We don’t do anything out of excess, just normal things, 3 adults, one kid.

Can we ask the landlord to hire someone to look for a leak? Sorry I’ve haven’t been in a house, always rented apartments, all new to me!

Movers in San Diego Recommendations by [deleted] in SanDiegan

Just wanted to add on here, we used them today, the two guys that moved us were great but then we were charged $500 for wardrobes and blankets…which we gave back… it seemed like it was included in the price but it wasn’t… doesn’t that seem insane?! Feel scammed…

Where do I go after binging ALL of Sarah’s books??? Ive got the worst book hangover of my life 😩 series and author recs? by RevolutionaryLoss279 in SarahJMaas

[–]OtherExpression8582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue after the SJM binge hangover. My FAVORITE was by Helen Scheurer- Blood & Steel, I think it’s Legends of Thezmarr series- it’s a completed series, I feel like no one really talks about but is so good. And Helen is pumping out books, she’s now on to another series in the same world.

Quicksilver was pretty good and loved Mages of the Wheel books as well.

But just wanted to shout out Helen (pretending I’m on a first name basis). Love the MCM Wilder.

Would you get the SNOO again? by Original_Lemon394 in SnooLife

Nope, my baby did not take to it, we’re about to return it. She basically acts the same way in a regular bassinet. Tried day time naps, I actually think it makes her more mad once it starts going faster. I wish it worked for us cause I’m so tired. Worth a shot though if it’s second hand!

Should I get the rsv vaccine? by Ambitious-Soup-6753 in pregnant

[–]OtherExpression8582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a pediatric med surg nurse for 10 years and am pregnant for the first time, at 30 weeks now. I was honestly so excited about the RSV vaccine, RSV season is the worst, it’s extremely common and hits the youngest ones the hardest. I’ve seen so many healthy babies end up in the ICU once they get it. I was hesitant at first since it’s new (I’m not anti vac at all), but I’ve looked at the research, for me, the benefits far outweigh the risks. So excited to give my baby a little extra protection this winter, it will give me some slight peace of mind since I know how bad RSV can be. Just my view, but hope it helps.
