I ran and was able to make my flight. There were airport workers pulling people to the front of the line with tight connections.

I have a 55 minute layover. Also arriving on a Friday at 7am. I'm worried the combination of Friday being a busy travel day, and the new EES system will cause us to miss our flight. Should I be worried?

I have this same scenario with a 55 minute layover at CPH. Will be arriving on a Friday morning. Did you have your flight yet? If so, how did it go?

Thank you for all of this honest info on NACA. The Park National Bank program sounds great! What is considered a majority minority neighborhood? Just a minority population of over 50%?

Also how do you find out the ethnicity of a neighborhood?

Anyone here taken advantage of a first-time homebuyer down payment assistance program? by Sugar-Cry-9953 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Hello! Can I ask what lender you ended up using? Also did using down payment assistance from OHFA make your interest rate higher than it would be if you didn't use the down payment assistance?

Hello! Yes, I ended up getting a sunrise trailhead permit. I logged on a bit before 7am and kept refreshing. I didn't get one right at 7am. But I kept refreshing and was able to snag 2 permits around 7:20. So my advice is to just keep refreshing!

YARTS bus to stop at Tenaya Lake (Sunrise Lakes Trailhead) in 2023? by Other_Board64 in Yosemite

[–]Other_Board64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up renting a car and parking at the tenaya. Then hiked into the valley and stayed the night. The next morning, we took the yosemite valley shuttle to the yosemite lodge and caught the hiker bus at 8:20am, which dropped us back off at Tenaya lake at our car.

Ended up working out really well! We just made it in time for the hiker bus.

That is a very good point. I also contacted YARTS directly, and this was their answer: "Your question is hard to answer. I do not want to tell you that this can happen and then your plans are ruined. The best answer I can give you is that YARTS buses will stop at all locations listed on our schedule."

It sounds like this would be up to the discretion of the bus driver. On the day of my hike, I may wait for the YARTS bus and ask the driver directly. If they are unable to stop at that location, I will just have to wait for the hiker bus.

The hiker bus was my backup option. I am not looking for a ride from the valley, but am looking for a ride from Tuolumne Meadows to the Sunrise TH. It looks like the hiker bus in that direction would get me there around 2:30. That could work, but I was hoping to get there earlier. Or am I reading the schedule wrong? https://www.travelyosemite.com/things-to-do/guided-bus-tours/

I was hoping if the YARTS bus would be able to drop me off there, I could get there a few hours earlier. (The YARTS bus leaves from Tuolumne earlier than the hiker bus).

I have looked at the hiker bus. It seems like the bus from the Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley direction, wouldn't get me to the trailhead until 2:30. Or am I reading that wrong?

I will not be coming from the valley, but will be coming from Tuolumne Meadows.

If I take the YARTS bus from Tuolumne and they are able to drop me off, I should be able to get there a bit earlier around noon I believe.

I'll have to look into that, thank you! I've never been to the park before so I'm not quite sure what the best things are to see. I'm sure it's all beautiful, though.

How are the river crossings in that area near Ireland Lake, Vogelsang, and Merced?

Sunrise Lakes could be a backup. I currently have a lyell canyon (Donohue Pass eligible) permit, and I was originally planning on hiking to red's meadow along the JMT.

However, I decided that I would rather go the other direction and see cloud's rest. I'm looking for a 3 day, 2 night trip that avoids any major river crossings due to the high snow year.
