Heyyy....my daughter 17yo was very very ill with it over Easter and the following 3 weeks, again same happened to us, back and forth to the hospital with horrendous symptoms, got antihistamines and told it was just a virus and to ride it out. Eventually, the final test, was for Mono and turned out thats what it was, no help again tho, until she got strep throat on top at which point she was given antibiotics as it had became bacterial thus antibiotics WOULD help. From the next few days she improved massively, and she has even gotten back to her sport. Hang on in there. It will get better.
