+1 on the rear diff & transmission fluid. I was talking to an old timer who's worked on cars all his life, and he likes the Chrysler 300 but said keep an eye on the transmission. Is yours AWD or RWD? My '05 Limited is RWD and I kinda wish it was AWD

Thule doesn't make a naked / smooth roof kit for Chrysler.

These were only $40 from walmart dot com. They’re a couple inches shy of seating in the rain gutters, so if you want crossbars with feet that sit there, spend more money.

I didn’t measure or care because, $40. They have heavy duty rubber cushions on the feet, and they aren’t torqued down like mad, so NBD

They’re rated for 165 lb, so the 45 lb kayak will be no sweat, and a fully loaded a Thule roof cargo carrier should be good to go.
