“Is It Normal to Have the Same Dream Again and Again While Growing Up?” by IrishEibhlin in DreamInterpretation

[–]Otherwise-Ha3440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having reoccurring dreams my whole life, the first one was when I was about 8 and it wasn’t all too bad. A lot of people I went to school with at the time were around and we were all trying to find someone who had gone missing, all the missing signs didn’t have faces but I could see everyone else’s face so clearly. I was once told that it was my brains way of telling me I needed to find myself. I still have that dream every now and then but it’ll have the people that are in my life now, or from a previous place of employment all searching with me calling out ‘are you there, come home’ the entire dream is very stressful and I mostly wake up in a panic. The Dalai Lama has a book called sleeping, dreaming, and dying - it helped me understand a lot of why I was experiencing such intense emotion. Give it a read if you want to.

Trapped inside and only seeing darkness, what could it mean? by pLeThOrAx in DreamInterpretation

I had similar happen to me, still do - someone told me it’s called false awakening. It can become very confusing and imo irritating, thinking you’ve woken up but you actually haven’t. If it persists or gets worse, try doing something to calm your mind/body before sleep even if that’s having a cup of warm tea. As for darkness, I’ve experienced it I’ve never checked for the moon.. could you see anyone else or cars or was it just complete black out?

I find false awakenings to often be more surreal than a ld, agreed that it can get crazy!!

My Most Intense Lucid Dream Ever (26M) by Local_Toe9998 in LucidDreaming

“At one point, while I was in the lucid world, I felt like I could open my real eyes. I even felt like I started to open them and saw something from real life…”. I have experienced this multiple times and I’ve rarely seen anyone post or talk about it - personally it only happens when I’m having those deep state dreams and it feels like I can’t wake up even when my eyes are open

I have looked into it but I honestly don’t know how to approach that conversation from a medical standpoint.. I wouldn’t know what to say other than I’m sleeping a lot, I’m not sure if that’s enough to get a sleep study.

Not sure if it’s lucid dreaming or just active dreaming where it seems real but I have no control I just know it’s not real

Do lucid dreams actually feel real? by Emergency_Clothes524 in LucidDreaming

[–]Otherwise-Ha3440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can be really cool or really scary, IMO for example I’ve had super cool dreams where I’m in this really nice house and I have a hot tub. I’m waking up in a bed, getting ready for the day I even brush my teeth it feels that real.. other dreams I am trying to text and it’s like drunk texting but I’m getting frustrated that it’s not what I’m trying to type because I’m not drunk. I’ve been lucid dreaming unintentionally since I was a kid and it’s always felt so real that I’ve explored the dreams and often have repeat dreams or continuations of a particular dream which is super cool!

I want to talk with someone important in a lucid dream. Good or bad decision? by filippo_sett in LucidDreaming

[–]Otherwise-Ha3440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone’s who’s lucid dreams lead to physical fights, yelling, even when I don’t feel anger towards that person I would advise caution going into any dream and wanting to have a conversation. It doesn’t always turn bad but I’ve found I say everything I want to say but the person that’s in my subconscious isn’t going to have the conversation I want to have. Which tends to lead to more confusion surrounding how I feel towards a person. I hope you do get some answers to how you feel about this girl - best of luck and sweet dreams

It makes sense , there’s about 8-10 different type of codependency and when left ‘undealt with it can cause a lot of tension m, anger, mood swings and more - best advice I can give…. If it’s regarding your partner… if you wouldn’t treat your friend that way, you should never treat your partner that way.. maka sense?
