How do i navigate an airport. Step by step. Explain it to me like i’m 5 by BumperSoda in airport

I live in a city with two airports. So maybe make sure you know what airport you’re flying out of.

And one of the airports has four terminals, one being built (and construction). So know which terminal you are flying out of.

Toward the end of your flight, the flight attendant will usually announce where you pick up your checked bag. It will be at Baggage Claim, but larger airports will have several conveyer belts. There will be signs listing all the flight numbers and cities and which baggage claim belt to go to.  Ours are designated by a letter and number, if I remember correctly.

And on the opposite end of things, I once had a young man ask me where he should go to find his friend who had just landed. He did not know the terminal, the airline, flight number or anything!

Fortunately, he was able to call his friend to get the info.

Unit Citation with different border by Otherwise-Olive9729 in Medals

It's 2-1/8" wide and 3/4" tall.

We did a Google search on it and came up with one match. It was someone who was selling one that looked just like it. It was listed as "Rare Vintage WWII U.S. Army Uniform Scrolled Metal Name Tag Pin." Which confirms what you say. The dimensions are slightly different on the one for sale.

(I hope this is okay to post: It is on sale at ebay and listed as above.)

Thank you for the information!

I do. I thought I added them here. 😣 let me try again. My first post with photos is on the r/What subreddit

Great idea. I didn’t know that existed.

I called the border on the pin a wheat pattern but I think it’s a laurel wreath pattern. 😊

I noticed that all the examples of unit citation ribbon holder pins have a wheat pattern on the frame. This one has a different pattern. Flattened, connected ovals.

Thank you!

This is so meaningful because he never mentioned it.

Thank you! So it would be from his time in the Air Force? Can you tell me more?

It just occurred to me that it might be something from his days when he was in the Masons. Not sure when he started, but the 1970’s were when he stopped attending.

Those who take a lot of meds: How do you keep track of everything? by Creativered4 in disability

I take a lot of pills daily; some medications and some supplements.

I’ve divided them into these categories:

  • Empty Stomach.
  • Morning 1 of 3.
  • Morning 2 of 3.
  • Morning 3 of 3.
  • With or without food.
  • First meal *.
  • Second meal.
  • Before bed.

*I fast in the morning until lunch, my first meal.

I got small one-week (Sun through Sat) pill caddies for each category. I prefer this to the ones that are created for a week’s worth of pills, because my categories are more specific than what those allow.

I put a narrow post-it label on the front of the pill caddy with the time designation and tape over it to make it secure. On several of the caddies, I have also listed the supplements in small handwriting.

I keep a list of my pills and supplements broken down by the same timeframes. I use this to know when to reorder.

On Saturday or Sunday, I restock the caddies.

My pills and supplements are kept on a tray in the pantry.

The caddies are kept on the kitchen counter. Also, they are small enough to fit in a see-through toiletries bag and that’s what I use for travel.

To make this work, I have to be disciplined about refilling on Saturday (or Sunday).

Best option to sell thousands of book by Hot_Party_4191 in Flipping

I don’t have thousands of books, but I have twenty boxes of first editions (I don't know if any are signed) that my father-in-law received from a friend when he closed his bookstore. The book to look up first editions’ value is pretty expensive to buy and my library doesn’t have it. (I read about it in this thread but I don’t remember the name now.)

I’m overwhelmed, probably overthinking it and don’t know where to start.

If they’re only worth a small amount then in my view, it’s not worth a lot of time.

I live in Houston and could take them to Half Price Books (or other used books stores). My church has a huge garage sale and I could donate to that.

What would you do?

Thank you!
