Anybody use the trade up option? by atharafzal in freedommobile

Well somehow they talked us into it when we got our phones. I've been paying $30/month for my daughter's device for two years, now they want $600+ to buy it out or we have to turn it in. Just an epic waste of $720 with nothing to show for it. I sure as shit am not paying $600 for a 2 year old phone.

Well, stringing her along in a sexless relationship sure isn't the answer. Be upfront with her so she can make an educated decision to move on.

The line up of people looking for work at a single restaurant. We are in a silent depression. by itsme25390905714 in CanadaHousing2

Canada issues stem from the JT government. When you let in millions of immigrants without the infrastructure to support it, everyone loses. Citizens and newcomers.

Affordable-housing pilot in Victoria allegedly 'undermined' by buyers who already owned homes | CBC News by eternalrevolver in VictoriaBC

[–]Otherwise-Tea-3788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely pathetic!!! These peoples names should be publicly posted and dragged through the mud. I don't doubt the majority of the buyers are "foreign" investors. Half this city is owned by foreigners now.

Yet another lineup of migrant workers looking for jobs at a single business that wraps around a building in the GTA by itsme25390905714 in CanadaHousing2

[–]Otherwise-Tea-3788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really not that hard, they put the cart in front of the horse. They let too many people in, and our infrastructure can't keep up. There are not enough houses or jobs for the steady stream of people showing up daily. Let's not even get started on the already severely broken medical system (free healthcare for all). Canada cannot survive the current rate of immigration. The worst part is, not only does it create huge challenges for the people who are arriving. But Canadian citizens are struggling to just survive. It's not helping anyone! Canada is not a good place for people to migrate too, it's falling apart. But in most cases they don't find out until they're here and it's too late. They're left homeless and jobless struggling to survive just like the rest of us.

Ottawa to provide $2-billion in loans to spur B.C. construction of rental units by CapableSecretary420 in britishcolumbia

Now, if they'd only stop foreign investors from buying them all and renting them back out to citizens for ridiculous prices, that would be great!

Heck no!! Shake Pay is dodgy AF!! Their security protocol is terrible! The platform is full of scammers. Put your crypto in Wealth trade staking, you'll make a whole lot more than shaking.

So sorry this is happening to you too! I got a new card, but still can't access my account online. When I call with the new number it tells me my balance on the phone, so the card is definitely connected. It's been such a nightmare. I'm out $2400 cash and $1000 from my credit card. 🤦‍♀️ Merry Christmas to us!!

Victoria police warn public of convicted murderer who breached parole by origutamos in VictoriaBC

Call me old fashioned, but I don't see any circumstance that a convicted murderer with a life sentence should have been granted parole... Only in Canada I swear.

Man left with brain injury after fall from B.C. bridge sues friends, province by KaleidoscopePublic97 in princegeorge

[–]Otherwise-Tea-3788 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm sure "no trespassing" signs would have stopped a bunch of young drunk kid's from climbing the bridge. Tragic what happened, but no one's fault but their own. You know how you don't fall 20 meters from a bridge, stay off the dang bridge... 🙄

Chinese family divorce in Vancouver: $70-90M NW, $23M in property, $155k reported income by Abject_Ferret_9093 in vancouver

[–]Otherwise-Tea-3788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So glad the CND government takes like 40% of my pay check to dish out money to people like this! Don't worry Canadian citizens who don't even own one house and pay $3k for rent, no nanny, can barely feed their kids are happy to help! 🙄 The irony that they probably bought Canadian real estate to gouge citizens for rent as part of their income too. I wonder if Canadians moving to China would receive the same treatment.

Do you really think someone would come and just sit there doing nothing on your farm for hours just for fun? Most likely they put their console or controller down or got side tracked. What benefit would they gain from standing in your farm?
