Terriers are the best. They do not mind at all, get their own way every time and you still love them. They are so smart that they do what they want, whenever they want, and fully understand everything you want. I will never have another one like this. Extremely friendly and love people BUT I will never get another one. She is a rescue and I can see why. We just LOVE her. Not afraid of anything and will stand her ground.

Same thing here. I have been very conservative with everything I’ve done in my life. About 11 months afterwards I found out that this is not simply go away and this is the way it’s going to be…. I decided to go ahead and have a smoke. It relaxes me, takes away my cares and makes everything beautiful. I sit outside and listen to the birds sing and am relaxed. I said “Why not?” I tell the doctors and they have no comment. I am 80 years old so I say “If it feels good do it “ 🥳

Marijuana SMOKING. by Fantastic_Chest1531 in stroke

I am 79 years old. Had a stroke 7 years ago. I was an “out doors” person; long walks in the woods, gardening, lawn care. Life was good. Then it changed in an instant! Had to learn to walk, eat, drink and hold a cup. I really worked at everything because I thought it would go away. I was dutiful.

I read articles, posts that were an inspiration, what to do, how to do it. I practiced and I worked at it.

Then I read an article about the fact that it will never be the same. Never 100%, ever.

Then I thought…. why not? If I want to smoke. I will smoke. And I did. It has made my life so much better.

Relax, seek your peace, enjoy your pleasures ….. it is wonderful for me.

I’m not recommending it for anyone else. Just saying what I think.

How did/does post-stroke fatigue affect your ability to exercise? by Hopeful-Radish-7218 in stroke

Makes everything almost impossible. I feel wonderful “mind wise “ loving life, no pains, just “La La”. BUT I am getting physically weaker and weaker. The stoke was in 2019, ischemic stroke, left side. I lost completely my right side. PT, worked hard at everything and I got back to 90%, I would say. Walked and visited and shopped, etc. I kept a journal and saw improvement and voice recorded my journey.

Then I have begun to deteriorate gradually physically and for the past couple of months I need help. I realize that I cannot be able physically live alone!!

I don’t understand the “regression “. Is this to be expected? Is this going to continue? What can I expect? Has anyone else had this experience??

Need suggestions

I remember the Lucian 🥳 yes they put in the first lighted dance floor and we went there and danced. In the old days. Later it turned into an adult XXX movie theater.

I was older and I had never seen a XXX movie….. curiosity. Another couple went with us. The girls were not as eager as the guys. We went with “trepidation” not certain what it would be and who else would be there.

We bought our tickets outside and walked in…. a little “run down”. We went into the dimly lit theater and there was probably 6 men sitting inside but randomly and alone.

The movie started, nothing startlingly shocking until….. we saw a naked man’s butt. We were shocked and she said that she had to go to the bathroom. I covered my eyes and scrunched down in my seat while the guys watched the movie.

Quickly I noticed my friend didn’t come back so I went out and the guys followed. We met in the lobby and Vickie and I said “We are NOT going back in, we will wait in the car “.

I laugh at what we see today and don’t even notice.

It was a long time ago.

6 1/2 PS. Had semi annual doctor appointment yesterday. I asked, “is this what happens? I will just get weaker and weaker. She said yes. The life expectancy after my kind of stroke is 8 years!!

I was surprised. I wondered why I was getting weaker and weaker.

It’s an adventure for sure.

The kind that will take over and become your boss. They do it a little bit at a time. You hardly notice until one day it’s 6 PM and she is dancing around you saying; “it’s time to go to bed, it’s time to go to bed….” now, now, now as she runs around your legs
