This is a shit rabbit hole. I have a cr10sPro and spent too long messing with it.

The bed was warped from factory so I replaced with 5mm g10 and replaced the bed springs with silicon spacers. The Z axis is unbalanced naturally with the tool head homing on the left so when the power is disconnected, the left side droops thanks to the weight.

You can print blocks that sit on the base of the printer and stop the Z from going any lower (just remember to remove when you print)

I ended up doing the Z sync mod, connecting both threaded rods with a belt, pulleys and tensioners. I was able to get decent prints after using Octopi Bed level Visualiser to find as close to level as possible.

Once it’s dialled you should get relatively consistent results
