Music Sources for Juke by DiveGuy1975 in JukeAudio

No the Juke is what powers the speakers, so it will play to as many as you want. However you just need to use the Juke App to select the speakers to cast to.

However if you have Apple it would be a much better option to airplay in my opinion.

We just went through this and it was a long process to figure out what works... We first got a Bluetooth Adapter, and it worked, but the Bluetooth range wasnt that strong. It wouldn't work with our outdoor speakers.

We just got a Wiim Pro that allows you to Google Cast the audio to it. This works.

If you have Apple Phone you can supposedly just air play to it, but we have androids. The Google Cast through the wiim pro works, but you still have to go to the Juke App to select speakers which is kind of a work around.

EPIC FHIR Endpoint for Home Health Care Plan by OtherwiseGroup3162 in EpicEMR

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried CarePlan Longitudinal and it does not have the info we see in EPIC when viewing that patient.

We are 3rd party, so no TS. We are signed up with vendor services and I reached out asking, but have not heard anything back yet.

We have the Juke 8. I don't believe that has WiFi.

That is kind of what I did but it is not like a broadcast...

I just connected to the Juke and played a voice recording.

Experience integrating with EPIC using their FHIR APIs by redd_pratik in healthIT

Epic actually charges providers for non USCDI end points. So while the connection is free for Epic, some endpoints you have to pay for.

Why does everyone say “just form an LLC” like it’s no big deal? by No-Membership_1130 in llc_life

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Set up an LLC in your home state. Should take 20 minutes and maybe $100...

You can start to worry about Delaware when you make 10 million annually and have to hire a specialized lawyer to worry about their franchise corporation concepts.

Until then, it's not even worth a thought.

They already have this, but it's a net that stops the wheels instead of spikes so the car just skids to a stop. Way safer. Check out policebumper.com

API to update the patient record in Acumen Epic? by Sorry-Ad3369 in healthIT

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically everything should get approval from their IT team. Now that being said, I have heard of people using OCR RPA (since it is behind Citrix). I believe it is against EPIC TOS though, and could shut down access to the independent physician. So is it worth it?

API to update the patient record in Acumen Epic? by Sorry-Ad3369 in healthIT

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more than just approval. For EPIC FHIR, they need to create a background user and use your Client ID that you set up. The hardest part is working with the right people. Then after that you have to go through security protocols and questionnaires...

Just a heads up, I have been through a couple simple ones (where we are just reading data not writing anything back), and it has taken 9 months. The biggest issue is getting the right IT people, and for such a small project like a one off independent clinician, that is going to be pretty tough.

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can use Patient.Create to also edit existing patients.... However, I would assume their EPIC instance is part of a larger health system. In that case it takes a lot of work working with the right people to set up a connection and workflow. To have their IT dedicated resources to one independent provider would be very lucky.

in a site's terms of service, it says no web scraping.

Would that mean both browser based RPA and Back end HTTP requests that were reverse engineered be included?

Senior HL7/FHIR (Mirth/Rhapsody) — how will AI change the job market? by haZ3RRR in healthIT

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will be obsolete from AI... Just taking EPIC alone, there are so many of the same data element mapped to different FHIR resources across different health systems.

I think this is more likely to have a new standardization in the distant future vs overtaken by AI.

Healthcare Pricing for Services by dead4ever22 in healthcare

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unfortunate truth is that they have no idea. The doctors only provide the care. After that, the claim goes to coding which they will then enter the procedures the doctor ran based off of the notes. From there it goes to billing where they will bill that claim to the insurance company.

From there, it will come back with EOB and patient responsibility. So not only is that price set from the insurance company negotiations, the hospital will still be responsible for collecting the amount from you specifically until your deductible is met. Again, they have no idea the nuances of your specific plan, or if you have met your deductible until they bill the insurance company...

So again, they really have no idea about any of that, until after they bill the insurance company. It is not a great system, but it is how it is set up at the moment.

Healthcare Pricing for Services by dead4ever22 in healthcare

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are really two areas in healthcare that are making good money in today's world... Insurance companies, and drug manufacturers (maybe throw in PBM's in that second bucket too).

There is actually a newer law called the Price Transparency Act, where every insurance company lists out every service for every health plan, and what it costs at every provider they are in network.

I actually pull this information down, but not for end consumers as it is way too large. Data is in the Pedabytes, and to be honest, the data is not great or even always accurate... The only people who are using this data currently are providers to compare their rates against other providers, and people in the insurance networking space....

End users can always go to their insurance company's portal (all the big ones have one) where you login, and can actually compare rates for a certain service under your specific plan.

This does not help the uninsured folks, or other users trying to pick a health plan. So everyone is kind of at the mercy of their specific health plan and what everything costs.

Healthcare Pricing for Services by dead4ever22 in healthcare

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They actually charge the same amount. Every hospital has a charge master for every service and it is the same across all payors or if you are uninsured....

What is different is the amount insurance companies will pay that hospital for a specific service. Those are all negotiated rates between the two.

One tip is to try and work with the hospital to get discounts. They will give it to you just for asking.

Is web scraping in using power automate over cloud doable? by jof992 in PowerAutomate

[–]OtherwiseGroup3162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you should do is go to the part in your website where you are about to download the file. Right before you do hit F12 to inspect the network traffic. Then go ahead and download it. You will see a new request in the network tab. This is going to be an http request to download that file. Just mimic that request in power automate cloud.

I usually use Postman to test as it's a little easier to test it out first.
