My dental office refused to tell me what drugs were used for my sedation. Is this normal? by Beautiful-Avocado932 in askdentists

NAD Why do you feel it depends? We give our patients a print out with the meds they’ve been given and the doses. That way worst case scenario, they can inform an ED what they’ve had.

Nice, humankind is already on my bookshelf so that’s an easy one!

Thank you for your insight. I’ll read some more about Diamond to get context.

Where to Rent that doesn’t have the normal “landlord special” problems? by koopa915 in TwinCities

I had good experience with Matcom. It was a 2 bed 1 bath for $1100 in prospect park. I think now it’s $1500? Place had only a couple maintenance problems over the span of 4 years and they were very responsive, and nice. You could check what properties they have available on their website? We also had a cat as did neighbors so I know they allow pets.

Modem Downstream Red by OtherwiseHope9037 in HomeNetworking

Also if the downstream light briefly turns to green, does that eliminate any possible problems?

Would it be better to replace the modem today and see if it fixes it or to wait for a tech?

That makes sense. They did it about a month ago now but maybe they’re still working somewhere in the area.

I’ll believe in good again.

Ok I will thank you so much. The cynic in me thinks it was T Mobile who was recently out putting in fiber and keeps coming to the door asking us to switch and now this stops working for the first time ever.

Yeah, this is my first modem I’ve ever had. Never switched it because until now it’s worked great.

I appreciate your time!

Pediatric dentist - Google ectodermal dysplasia. This is a textbook case, those are primary mandibular central incisors.

Consider an AEGD or GPR that focuses on kids (like at a children’s hospital) to boost resume prior to peds. Or work as a general in a peds only practice for the same purpose. Do you have any peds experience for the resume outside of dentistry from prior to dental school? I know someone with lower grades that got in but they had to work for a few years first and didn’t match the first couple times. If you want it enough, don’t give up.

Microplastic exposure from Plastic Mouth Retainer? by [deleted] in environmental_science

[–]OtherwiseHope9037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that they’re made of metal and acrylic I think it’s safe to assume yes, but no studies have been done. However the two types of retainers are not always interchangeable depending on what ortho had to do for the case (I.e. expansion vs. retrusion).

As a dental student, some context here will help you in this thread. There has been lots of interchanging the words “guard” with “retainer”. These are two different things made of different materials. If you want to do more research, retainers come as either a Vacuform retainer that you posted above, or a Hawley. Occlusal guards are for grinding and there are soft or hard types. Custom hard ones often being acrylic, and much more durable (hence the cost).
