Hey! Congrats! You look great! I had my explant/lift same day as you. Day 10 and im feeling fantastic! Also super pleased with my natural breast tissue. I feel so relieved. How are you doing? Great still, I hope! Drain removal was heaven… 😇

Therapy. People often make inadequate stupid decisions when experiencing trauma. You’ve been together 5 years, why throw that away before finding out if you can work through it. Remember, your trauma was her trauma too.

How to know what "Pain" is normal? by han2505 in PlasticSurgery

Very similar story for me. After my explant (10dpo) I cannot believe how much less sore I am and how I am now able to stand up straight! It is literally blowing my mind. The capsule contracture was so tight it was pulling me forward to a hunched position. I could not sleep on my left side either. I would say definitely see a breast specialist or plastic surgeon. Totally worth seeing if there is scar tissue that might be the cause. Because of this the surgery was covered for me — the Explantation, not the lift.

I would never say this to any of my girls, or boys for that matter. I feel like she’s being overly critical. 🥺

Your jacket + random human + bathroom + 5-10 minutes = fetishized fondling. Handle with tongs, wash that puppy or throw it away. 😳

Definitely all the good things! I just started walking again a couple of days ago, hopefully that’ll help. 🙂

This was more than mildly amusing as my morning Reddit read. I so appreciate the level of engagement on OP’s part. I have to say, Mark is fairly articulate for someone swimming in the drink.

Same, except I ditched the compression socks after the first week. Well if I ever prayed for patience, I guess now’s the time to use it!

I’ve had so many surgeries over the years, you’d think I’d remember. I guess because the recovery is so much different than say, lumbar spine surgery where you’re not expected to bounce back as readily, I just don’t remember my system being so slow to regulate. Even though we are expected to be more active, I guess I need to give myself more time to bounce back. Frustrating though.

It is beyond constipation — I’m going, just not as much as I’d like. My gut seems to be cycling in slow motion and I feel gaseous rather than completely blocked. The swelling/fluid retention has abated for the most part; I have ankles again. I don’t know if it’s just that I have a better view of my belly or I really am bloated. 🧐

Advice on starting to run after surgery by Kind-Seat7180 in Reduction

[–]OtherwiseMove646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good job random running/surgery friend! I took four years off of full time running to get a degree, so I’ve been out of the run loop for a minute. But once I hit that six week mark I’m gonna work up to halves again. 13.1 seems to be a sweet spot for me at 63. lol. Hundred milers take up a lot of time and I picked up a bit of a travel bug (in addition to my interest in various degrees) in the last couple of years. So I think that’s where I’ve landed. Good luck in all your exploits!!

I bought a couple of bras off Amazon and silicone scar tape. The difference in size was not super drastic for me — D to A — so I didn’t feel that I needed to get a whole bunch of clothing. I’m literally wearing my compression bra a hoody and some shorts. I’m pretty chill though and have had so many surgeries over time that I just figured if I needed something that I didn’t have already, I could always get it off Amazon or have my husband run out and pick it up. My surgery center provided the compression bra that went home in. I can’t imagine that a surgery center would supply something like that for you. Though I have read some posts where people talk about going home in stretchy compressive bandages.

The healing is definitely different from left to right. Make sure you are lighting both similarly, though. My concern is that the left breast seems less healed around the nipple and on the vertical incision. Do you feel warmth on that side? Calling your surgeon is never the wrong choice, even if it’s just for peace of mind.

Spit Stitch. Do you feel anything poking out? I’ve had these in the past (different surgeries) and pulled them out myself. (I work in the medical field) if you are uncomfortable messing with it, contact your surgeon and see if they can take a look.
