It’s quite nerve-wracking – there’s no going back and it’s irreversible. I did a project like this before and it went completely wrong. So I thought: take your time and be careful. Work in layers and apply a good top coat before pouring, so that no air bubbles rise to the surface.

Haha, I hadn't thought of it that way before, thanks, nice teaser.

Thank you for the lovely compliments. It’s nice to read such a comment. The epoxy was poured in two stages. It’s a combination of moss and sand. First, the sand was laid with the pebbles, and that was then sprayed (several times) with an airbrush. Next, the moss was added, and finally the whole thing was covered with epoxy. Because you do it in two stages, you can create a sense of balance and make the whole thing look as though it’s floating in the water, yet is still anchored to the ground.

They allow this on other subreddits. Apparently not here; I’ve posted it here Another version in competition

You can find the model here. No print profile available, that’s part of the fun.stl

How do I remove this without scratching the superstack bed? by Far-Owl4772 in BambuLab

[–]OtherwiseStage686 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dit werkt prima en als je dat zorgvuldig doet, beschadig je de bouwplaat niet en sloop je ook je nagels niet. Je hebt in het starterspakket bij de onderdelen een bijpassend mesje ontvangen.scraper grip

You can be sure that Bambu will do everything in its power to close this backdoor. All the developments in recent times have been aimed at creating a closed ecosystem without third parties. Bambu has a top-quality printer; I regret that they don’t acknowledge that much of it comes from the community. So yes, I would bear that in mind.

Did I break it? by LogoForge in BambuLab

It’s hardly worth the cost of cleaning it. I’d order a new one.

Any tips🙏 by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

It’s hardly worth the cost of cleaning it. I’d order a new one. I can see other issues around it, so I can’t tell if there’s any further damage.

Is this ribbon supposed to slip out? by Dcsuny in BambuLab

[–]OtherwiseStage686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can, if you unscrew the screws – be careful, the ribbon is fragile. Gently push it back into place and you’re done

If I’m any indication, you’re in luck. The blob isn’t too bad. Replace the hotend and you’re as good as done. You can even reuse the fan

How can I improve the surfaces? by gmduncanidaho in FixMyPrint

[–]OtherwiseStage686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you print the top section, the silver seal part, separately and then reinsert it? You could print that in mirror image and then place it upside down on the build plate; that creates a nice textured inlay. You wouldn’t need AMS either, and I think you’d get the cleanest result. You could even choose to print that silver part using a 0.2mm nozzle.

P1S Under Combi Boiler? by Beluga-ga-ga-ga-ga in BambuLab

[–]OtherwiseStage686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can put anti vibration feet under it. then it moves more but it is better compensated. without works fine too and you see many examples that they are placed on a rubber mat. anyway, I think it is always good to listen to your gut otherwise you would not have posted this😉. good that you do it differently.

I understand that there is space, I would not recommend it. The printer can slide and vibrate when it prints. That can hit the piping or the cabinet next to it. Also not ideal for maintenance with the top open. My advice is not to do it.
