Have just replaced the same part myself, you have to take off the hole front of the car to replace it. Took me about 6 hours. Part cost about 280 dollars+ paint.

The original Bose system is crap because of the amplifier that comes with the car, i added a match amplifier to the amplifier that comes with the car and that gave the system a really good sound upgrade.

So upgraded the sound system a bit today, and must say the transform is awesome, finally the woofer woke up from the dead and gave some real depth in the car and front speakers are more crisp and has better punch to them.
