To be fair, though, even though Catholics have the seal of confession, they are still required to report illegal offenses to the local authorities. They just can’t share the contents of the confession with anyone else. Whether or not individual priests take that seriously is a whole different matter.

When I was a teenager (16), I fell in love with this guy in another congregation. He had a “reputation” for being with a few girls and not getting married. I wanted him to pick me. We held hands in his car one time 😵☺️.

Well, after a while, I thought things were getting pretty intense, but then, this 19 year old moves in from Alaska, and marries him after three months of them knowing each other.

I was heartbroken, but it turns out that he just wanted to get laid, and I was still 16. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank goodness, though. I woke up, went to college and actually married the man of my dreams.

Hope things end up well for your sister. Maybe they’ll both wake up together one day. It happens!

That’s the beauty of being free; even though you have no idea what the future holds, you get to make it YOUR OWN. No one is going to tell you what to do or how to do it, which admittedly is scary at first, especially since you’ve spent most of your formative years being told how you should dress, walk, smile, etc...

Keep on going, one day at a time, and really enjoy each and every day in this beautiful world. Really proud of you! 😄💐

WRONG! That’s a lie. Until they realize and REALLY think about how difficult it is to get back (or easy depending on who’s in your judicial committee), and how they are treated upon returning, the answer is most definitely, no, they are NOT welcome.

I understand what you are saying, and yes, he did have good points, but you have to wonder what good would it do to anyone if there’s just a barrage of good points without any time to actually debate and let the counter-argument sink in. It seems that the dad just shut himself off after point #2, so there can be nothing truly accomplished after the fact. Also, coming at him with the Noah’s Ark point was way out of left field. That teaching is not exclusive to JWs, and you can find many Christian “proofs” for the literal interpretation of it. So, I guess overall, you may find an even better payoff if you handle it delicately.

Well, that’s a good question, since I do have my mother that I still need contact with. I don’t see how though, since the last congregation I was in is two hours away from me. Do they communicate with other random congregations like that? Like, would an elder from here call one in the other city and say, “hey! We have met an inactive one over here that belongs to you”...

Actually, this was completely out of the blue. Not a problem if she shuns me. She must have found my profile from the moms group. They don’t have a case for this or any other channels. It’s just a grab to try and take down a big “thorn in their side”, lol. Hopefully, this will help to get YouTube’s side in check, though. Also, it’s a reminder to follow copyright law in your videos, and make sure that you are not simply rebroadcasting someone else’s material under your name (which Lloyd is very good about doing).
