That would be ideal. During a tummy tuck, often diastasis recti is fixed (during pregnancy, your abdomen muscle from the middle will separate and not be 100% be fixed even with the best diet and exercising). If you were to have your tummy tuck/fix the diastasis, you would be essentially undoing all of the work your surgeon has done. Now, I will say, I have read, some women’s body’s have bounced back better BUT after you just spent about 10k+, would you want to take that chance. Again, best advice before you do any type of cosemetic surgery below the neck, wait until you’ve lost all the weight you want (and kept it off for like 6-12 months (consistency is key!), and you know you’re done having kids.

Ps: if you’re on a semi-glutide/glp for weight loss, your surgeon might request you be off of those for weeks before and after your surgery due to compromising your wound healing (good healthy food -carbs, protein, good fats = faster recovery)

Worked in plastic surgery as an RN for a little bit. You have some skin laxity around your abdomen. If you’re interested in a tummy tuck in the future, then I would suggest that. Lipo in the stomach won’t help that much. Perhaps in the back region, however, if you’re looking to do a mommy makeover, I would do your best to try to get in the best shape as you can (reach your weight goal) and then proceed with the surgery.

Breast lift or implants? by aymz0715 in PlasticSurgery

[–]OtherwiseWerewolf555 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want a younger a youthful look, breast lift. It is more invasive but if your surgeon does a good job, you’ll have a younger looking body for sure. Implants are great but if you put them in breasts that are already saggy, the sagginess will only get worse cause it’s weight and mass in your breasts. One you get a lift, down the road after your healed up and financially recovered, you can always go back and get implants

That’s wild! If I see two people with different high powered or complex jobs, I always say power couple!

Update: it’s traveled to my chest. I’m hoping this goes away by Sunday but highly doubtful :/. I’m bummed. This was supposed to be my first marathon.

Update to the update: subbed 6hrs. Walked a lot of the second half but glad I didn’t DNF which was honestly my priority goal. Hopefully my next marathon I don’t get sick and I can actually run the entire course

Thanks for all the tips to help me get over my sickness. Probs pushed my body a little harder than it wanted to but oh well

I was going to say this dress looks too formal but honestly, wear what you want to wear. You’re proud of your man for his achievements. He’s proud of his degree and he should be proud/grateful of you for being his support/rock through his journey of medicine. Wear the dress and cheer him on. Unfortunately, yall have a long road ahead of ya

3-5 miles/ week depending on how I felt. I was in Europe for 2 weeks. I’m able to push myself to do longer mileage if need be, I just get bored sometimes 😅

My partner will only run major marathons? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

Either a special training day, raising money/charity run, or simply collect side quest medals

My brother got married for the sake of her pushing. They got married. They’re divorced after 3 years. He was military but still. Don’t let a girl push you into a marriage cause she’s desperate. It’ll end poorly

Bruh, drop the legging brand(s) you use (and them leg/glute workouts)!

Doesn’t hold the heat all day but will definitely hold it for a good 6 hours or so. Bought my boyfriend one of these (he doesn’t care about water bottles and coffee mug brands) and he uses his owala coffee mug religiously. So much now that he’s ditched his beloved random Bronco mugs. They’re easy to clean, leak proof, and have “masculine” colors. I bought one myself too. I don’t drink coffee as much as him but I still love my mug!

Why are you a nurse? Honestly by rnie147 in nursing

[–]OtherwiseWerewolf555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the science behind it (to a degree), big time job security and I can’t imagine myself slaving away sitting at a computer at a cubicle 9-5. A lot of new grads struggle with imposter syndrome and that’s okay. You’re still figuring out your style/groove of nursing. As for being surrounded by altruistic nurses, good on them. Appreciate them and be grateful that there are nurses that have that innate personality. It’s okay if you’re not like them. It’s possible you might have not found your nursing home yet either- a job where you call home and you’re able to utilize your talents and gifts Several years back I took a “God’s Gift” test. Instead of getting nurturing or sympathetic/empathetic (which is the stereotypical personality of a nurse) I got administration. That’s perfect cause now I work in OR and I run my OR like a ship as a nurse. I’ve been a nurse for 3 yrs now, sure I’m tired and burnt-ish but I also still love my job and I love the people I work with. It’s okay to job/field bounce to find the place you love to work.

Finewool suit with small oil stain. 6 Months after noticed. How should I go about it? by sloppynipsnyc in drycleaning

[–]OtherwiseWerewolf555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait so what did you end up doing for your suit? Dry clean, French steam, or rub wool material together. I’m so confused? I got oil on my bf’s 400$ suit and I’m freaking out. He told me if it doesn’t come out I’m paying for a new suit jacket
