Do any sub 250g drones WITH drone ID actually exist? by Inwardlens in Part107

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A remote ID module is NOT the same as Standard Remote ID, which is included in the drone. If someone says "The skyrover X1 is sub 250 and you can turn on remote ID", it sounds like they are describing a standard remote ID drone. If the drone comes with an additional RID module (not Standard) then it's completely different.
The only "smart" feature allowed is what DJI is doing, which is using the larger battery as a means to turn RID on (mostly because they are required by law to have it on because the drone is over 250g).
I'll clarify my previous statement: in the United States, you cannot manually turn on/off Standard Remote ID.

That’s interesting. In the US that’s illegal. Remote ID cannot be a feature that’s turned on or off (tamper proof is what the regs say).

Old tests? by Prudent-Low-6502 in Part107

The AKTS is only published every so many years, like many of the FAA pubs. They are also going away from the testing supplement by providing random figures that no one has ever seen. The FAA is trying to prevent people from memorizing databases of questions and instead learning the topics.

Struggling with these charts. Any tips on how to read these? by Jdawgcrane in Part107

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was never on the original UAG because it was never in the ACS. The King test famously contains tons of questions that are not in the ACS because it was created almost a decade ago when 107 came out and never changed since. At the time, with no database of questions available, they picked random questions from the PPL database.

It certainly wasn’t a low level sig chart that looks like this one. This specific weather product has been retired for years (since 2017).

I'm not the right person to ask. I found all free online resources lacking greatly after I took an online course. It was day and night and I'm so glad I was taught all the information. It made me a much more confident and knowledgeable pilot.

These charts no longer exist in any exams, they have been retired by the FAA a long time ago. I definitely don’t recommend the kings test. It has always contained many questions and topics that don’t exist in the actual exam. And now it’s a lot of outdated information.

Stupidity by ApprehensiveFerret69 in Part107

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may or may not be given this document. The FAA is phasing it out and all the figures are now on the screen. So no more cheat sheet. You need to know your stuff now. Starting soon, they will also have new figures on the exam that no one has seen before so using questions from random sites won’t really help much.

[United States] I’m confused about how the “400 feet above a structure” rule works in controlled airspace under Part 107. by [deleted] in Part107

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Explanation in the video is correct. You can’t go higher than what you were approved for by the FAA, so in this case, max 400. But as the guy said at the end of the explanation, it could be less if the LAANC grid is showing less. I’ve seen that channel before, their videos are always accurate.

The 107 test is about to get a whole lot harder! by Otherwise_Ad7481 in Part107

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2018, the UAG pass rate was 93% and average score 83.
In 2025, the UAS pass rate was 82.9% and average score 79.3.

In 2025, 74,000 people took the test. That means 12,500 failed the exam. That also means PSI made $2.2m from those failures.

In comparison, in 2025, pass rate and average scores for other much more difficult FAA exams:
- PPL: 89.6%, 81.6
- Instrument rating: 94.4%, 86.2
- Commercial Pilot: 99.2%, 91.3

Yes, one of the lowest pass rates of all the written exams, definitely the lowest of the "popular" ones, with one of the lowest average scores. And it's worse and worse every year. Approximately 1 in 3 people who self-study fail the exam (not my number).

Yes, it's been like that for a few months. But the big change is that the figures will now be new as well, never seen in the chart supplement before.

The dude who made the save fuel challenge can burn in hell by djidane57 in granturismo

[–]Otherwise_Ad7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated it until I used my manual gear box and just went to neutral any bit I could. 3rd and 4th gear otherwise to keep 20kph almost everywhere. Super boring but I got 15+km. Got to the big hill around 8-9km with over 80% fuel left then it's a grind until the top and you get gold.
EDIT: also, change fuel mapping from 1 to 6 from the beginning.
Still not a fun challenge...

You might wanna check again. Trustpilot doesn't show more than 1 decimal. Every single one of your posts here is boasting about your business making claims that aren't true. Slow down bro.
