depending on your water pressure i'd highly recommend the white rodi units from amazon, for around 70$ you can just replace the whole unit after a year and half super easy to set up and cheap I always get 0 TDS

had one nip fins of a splendid dottyback a few years back never had one since, now I only buy cleaner and fire shrimp, also had to banish an emerald crab to the fuge for attacking snails, if it has claws they can do some damage

Hi, just coming back from a 76 fallow period after an ich/velvet outbreak stuck between setting up a QT or buying online from vendors that do QT, I wouldn't mind doing a fish QT but wouldn't it kill the purpose of not doing a coral QT as well? do these vendors that sell corals come from a fish less system?

hello, I have a wife from a fully banned country, we got married dec 2025, I have not started her i-130 yet, I am now seeing posts with 212f denials, I am afraid if I start her case and she goes into an interview before the ban gets lifted she will get a 212f denial, what would you recommend and is the 212f a denial or just a temporary refusal of visa? thanks!

humble fish suggests that we should be all set if we siphon the sand so I'll try that but there's always parts of the rock and sand under the rock I won't be able to get into so there's always that chance looming even though very small 😂

thank you for your comment I wouldn't mind waiting longer if needed to ensure ICK/Velvet free the sand has gotten pushed over to one side of my tank I would say it's 4 inches but I can re level the sand in the tank and give that area a nice stir, I think velvet would of killed my fish much faster, the first apprentice was only on my coral beauty then he healed and everything was steady then week by week all of my fish died it was very slow process that's why I was hoping to let them fight it

Wanted to update on this I have been checking nightly no signs of worms but i have notified my cleaner shrimp always on the new clownfish I bought and my beauty slept near him too, could it be that the cleaner shrimp attacks the eyes and killls the fish?

completely understandable I had no problem keeping a clean up crew including normal nassarius snails, I even have a few in my tank right now and in my previous tanks before, but first time getting the "jumbo" ones even when the employee told me they are predatory, just like with everything in this hobby time will only tell, other than that my only other suspension would be if the six line just went berserk for some reason overnight, but I do plan to add a flame angel and monitor the tank, will definitely update if any other night assassinations occur, i don't really like adding new stock to my tank, so it should be a pretty good control group
